I have air bubbles in the black ink feed tube on my brother mfc 210 c printer and it won't print. I have run the cleaning problem several times but it didn't help. The color inks print fine.

You've almost answered your own question! Try ruling out the ink cart first (preferrably with an Original Brother cart). If the cleaning cycle does not resolve it then it's really an engineer job.
Not much else you can do, unless you know how to take apart the machine.

We did replace the black ink but unfortunately when we do printing their is no print. We already do cleaning several times.

Sometimes after a replacement cartridge it can form a air lock in the small tubes between the cartridge holder and the print head. simply remove the cartridge and replace it several times to get rid of the air bubble. Also make sure the Air valve is working correctly (its at the front-top of the cartridge). press this valve to ensure its operating correctly Some compatibles have a sticker over this hole that must be removed.
Hope this helps Regards GM

My brothers mfc 240c printer wont print because one ink is not full but it has black

You need to have ink in all cartridges to print. You can put a small electrical tape over the little window on the cartridge to print with empty inks, but you risk an air bubble in the ink tubes. If you don't care about printing color at some time, just cover the window on empty carts.

Cant print anything after replacing ink cartidges for brother 240c

If the printer has been sitting without use for a long time you may need a new printhead, if you just changed inks it could be just an air bubble in the ink tubes. If after several cleaning cycles you don't see any improvement, it's the printhead and not just a bubble.

Try cleaning the black printer heads several times in a row, at least 5 times then print a black document with best quality setting.
Press the ink button, then down to select select cleaning and then press menu/set and menu/set again to select black.

Black ink is not dispensing

There may be an air bubble in the black tubing, it will take several more cleaning cycles to clear. You can tell it to clean only the black and save the other inks.

Black wont print

sure. if you re lucky the generic ink hasn t destroyed the ph bk channel yet:

use skyhorse carts (http://www.skyhorse.net.cn ) who built good and reliable carts with a very good ink quality!

To get bk again:

press menu tehn start bk copy then fourtimes arrow up. machines will
be in maintenance mode. press 7 then 6 then 4 then start bk copy. machine will initialize the carts, refresh all tubes and ph channels with fesh ink and eliminates the air bubbles (quite a big prob within brother inkjet printers). When finished press 7 -6 -3 to
run a power purge. leave the maintenance mode by pressing 9 then 9. do run a test print.

If you cant see ANY bk the ph is clogged and cant be fixed any more. it needs replacing then.

Brother MFC-440CN won't print color

Did you use generic carts?

Do use only original brother ink carts!
Only these have special cleaning fluids mingled with the ink.

There are several advantages, too:

You can run a special cleaning mode (DO insert original carts at first!!!)

Press menue then start bk copy then fourtimes arrow-up.
machine should switch to maintenance mode (buttons will flash).
press 7 then 6 then 4 then start bk copy. machine will refresh ink within the tubes and the print head and run a special cleaning routine. when finished press 7 then 6 then 3 then start bk copy to run a power cleaning. leave the maintenance mode by pressing 9 then 9.

The machine should print without proböems. If there is a poor quality left, the printhead is affected by bad ink and cant be fixed anymore.

Printer won't print in black

Did you use generic ink before?
If yes the generic ink has blocked the microfilter in front of the nozzles, which cant be fixed anymore.

If not and you have used original carts there might be some air bubbles within the ph.

In both ways try this:
(make sure the carts are at a very good ink level!)
press menu then start bk copy then fourtimes arrow up. machine will be in maintenance mode. press 7 then 6 then 4 then start bk copy. machine will initialize the carts and refresh the tubes and ph
with new ink, then will do some cleaning. when finished press 7 then 6 then 3 then start bk copy and run a power purge.
leave maintenance mode by pressing 9 then 9. when machine comes up in normal condition again press ink etc. to
run a quality test print.

If your lucky the ph isnt clogged.
If not there will be no fixing anymore. ph needs replacement!

Black won't print!!

Hi denzirelli, Apparently several reviews of this printer say it is known for poor print quality when dealing with graphics AND the tubes can become blocked. As far as troubleshooting goes if you haven?t done so already purchase a new set of official Brother ink jet cartridges, black and color. The newer ink jets are a lot smarter and remember the last couple of cartridge serial numbers. If that doesn?t work then try running the nozzle cleaning utility a couple of times. If that fails call the Brother and let them walk you through the troubleshooting process. I don?t suggest you lie, just don't volunteer the fact that you were evil and tried to deprive them of their profit. Worst case they won?t do a warrantee replacement, best case is you?ll have a working printer. If you don?t want to pursue the above option or if tech support won?t help then we?re back to troubleshooting again, when you say it doesn?t print black does that mean colors do print? If that?s the case then I suspect the black tube or the nozzles are blocked. From what I?ve read it?s a little bit of a pain to remove the print head but the key is not to disconnect the tubes. Remove the print head and the cartridge container as a unit. The ribbon cables have to be unplugged from the circuit board. Disconnect the belt and you should be able to take the print head out and clean it. Let us know how it turns out and don?t forget to rate the posting.
