The link below should take you directly to the support page of the motherboard manufacturer. Just select the OS and download the manual and it should show you the location of the specific header in question. Good luck.

How Can I replace A Blown Fan header On my Mother Board. It's weird The three pin fan does not work in the three pin spot but when I ug it into the 4 pin header it works. The 4 pin fan does not work on...

If you have to ask about the difficulty, then you probably lack the skill to do the job. The 4 pin fan header is usually for the CPU fan and the 3 pin one is usually for case cooling. The extra pin is for speed control of the CPU fan (to cut noise) If the 4 pin fab fails on the 4 pin header then the fan has probably failed, because the 3 pin one works.

I have a gigabyte ga 81865gme775 mother board, can you give me the front pannel connection details

hello jknr09

my name is ausi

i can not find your motherboard on gigabyte web site. however the boards nowadays are standard as far as front panel header goes.

on gigabyte mother board you will see the hedae as two rows of pins like this.

....
..... ....

the bottom row first 4 pins are the speaker pins. the next single pin is void the next two are reset switch. the last two are hard disk lead.
the top row first two pins are message lead (usually not used). the next two pins are power switch exactly opposite the reset switch.

the power lead connection on gigabyte boards are a three pin header next to the front panel header.

hopefully this is helpful.
please vote for me

What is the power switch on mother board?

Hello sir, hi, like in any mother board, the power switch is on the header port located on the corner. Read the label just to make sure.

HDD and reset light on intel p4 82845 mother board

Hi pc_ski,
Download the manual for your board, click on this PDF link.
http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/D845GLLY/ADLY_English.pdf

See page 64 first for the layout of the front panel header. The block you need to refer to is letter C. Here you'll see where pin one is located at.
Go to page 65. Table 32 shows the pin assignments for the front panel header. Pin-1 & pin-2 is for the HDD & pin-7 & pin-8 for reset switch.

Have more questions? Post here.
Good luck pc_ski!

USB Header

The only way is to purchase a USB Board to install in the PCI slot, but that would be overkill since you PC already has 4) 2.0 USB ports. I would exchange that internal reader for an external reader.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Front usb

In case you don't have it, here is the manual for your motherboard: ftp://ftp.tyan.com/manuals/m_s2090_100.pdf Unfortunately, this motherboard does not appear to have USB headers on the motherboard itself so the only way that you can connect up the front motherboard headers is by getting an USB PCI card that has headers on it. Something simillar to this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815108107
