Question about Maytag Dishwashers
My Maytag mdb6650aww dishwasher will not run. I replaced the door latch assembly, but still will not run. I noticed the control is burnt at ?302. Can this be repaired or do I need to replace board? Is there something else that is causing this that may need to be addressed.

John, I had the same problem and just disassembled by removing the dozen or so screws around the inside of the door, lifting the waterproof panel, and pulling up the latch assembly to see what was broken. In my case there were plastic pieces broken off of the latch handle and where the latch hinges on the back of the control panel-the latter piece is $50 to replace. unfortunately. Good news is the disassembly and replacement will be easy as a DYI. Sorry this is too late to help you, but maybe others will have the same problem. Bruce

If it like mine, the latch is out of adjustment and you need to give it a whack with your hip to start it. If I adjust the latch looser, it leaks.

If you have a disposal make sure it is clear. You can put some icecubes in it to clean the blades and run some water through to make sure the drain is clear. If the dishwasher will still not pump out all the water check the drain line from the dishwasher to the sink drain for obstructions. If the drain is you will have to check the pump for obstructions. Sometimes glass, popcorn, toothpicks etc.... can get in the pump and prevent it from pumping out. If the pump is clear, then you will need a new pump. Good luck to you.

Well the most probable reason is that the wiring connectors located at the bottom of the dishwasher behind the toe panel were wired wrong and have shorted out or burned off, the next thing to look at is the control panel. (not control board, the actual panel with the buttons) you can take apart and check to make sure the ribbon cable is still connected, but most likely will be one of those two problems, If you need to get down and really dirty the next step would be to start taking voltage readings.
