Question about Washing Machines

Dirty steaks on clothes at end of wash cycle.

We have a Bosch Maxx WFL 2450. There appears to be a build up of grime/gunk perhaps in the drum. When the cycle finishes the clothes touching the drum are covered in brown streaks, also flecks of some residue/grime. It appears to be seeping out of the holes into the space where the clothes go. And now there is also a terrible smell! We have cleaned out filter at bottom but nothing much there. Descaled a couple months ago as well. Not sure how to ''clean'' it up or what to use or whether it needs a service. it is 8 years old. Any ideas of what might be the problem and how we fix it? We use the machine a lot, once every other day at least. All suggestions welcome! Thanks.

Thanks for your comments. I tend to use an ecological liquid and run the wash at lower temperatures (as we are told this is more environmentally friendly!). Will run a few hot washes as recommended and try a different powder and see how we get on. Many thanks!

Make up a couple of liters of a strong solution of hot water and Soda Crystals, pour that mix into the machine without any laundry in it and do couple of very hot washes

Change your soap powder to one of the old fashioned ones for a month or so and see how you get on.

Cold washing tends to leave body fats and other greases inside the machinea s there is little to break them down in "Modern" powders

Using the hot soda mix is the main step to take to get rid of the current build up

Bosch maxx wfl 2450 does not drain and does not go into spin cycle

Had the same problem with my Bosch SHX45P05UC/64 Dishwasher. Tried all the solutions - cleaning the bottom, forcing the "flapper", draining manually etc - found on the net, including on YouTube. No dice.

Finally called Sears Service. He walked in, didn't even bother with the dishwasher. Popped open the "vacuum release" (my name for this ;) on the top of the sink (next to the faucet), removed the gunk that had accumulated it, closed the top again, and turned on the dishwasher. Presto! Worked like a charm. He was in and out in less than a minute. Very cool! Try it out before you do anything else. :)

Good luck!

Bosch Axxis WFL 2060 Front Load Washer - DRUM DOESN'T CYCLE

This seems to be a fault with the program controller unit or the water level sensor. The program does not advance further after the inlet is filled but operates the drain to exit water. Now the water level sensor must be checked as if this is not working in the stipulated time it will drain out. Also unless the water level sensor contacts on reaching of set level the motor must start.http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/washing-machines/a/7/1401/how-to-replace-the-bearings-on-a-washing-mach.html

Goes through washing cycle but doesn't dissolve the tablets or cleans the clothes.

Clean out your outlet filter; this is to be done regularly once a month, depending on your usage. Re your tablets not disolving, try using front loading washing powder. Also refer to your manual..........
