if your battery is completely drained, plug the adapter and leave it for about 30mins to let the battery get enough charge to power on the laptop.

On many ASUS laptops and netbooks, pressing the blue "Fn" key and F2 at the same time will toggle the wireless capability on and off, If this does not work and your other laptops, etc see and connect to your router, the wireless network card may be bad. Try turning it off and remove the battery for 10 minutes and re-try. If still no go, it's probably the network card. try unplugging from the mains, remove the battery, hold the power button down for 30 seconds. plug the mains adapter in and try turning on. if it doesn't work then it's either the power socket or the mainboard.
if it does work, then try it again with the batter in. if it stops working then your battery's shot.
