Mitsubishi 62525 power reset issue

Sometime after I power off the set the power light starts flashing fast. To correct this I remove power and wait 5 sec. then reapply power and press reset. 45 sec later the light stops flashing and the picture comes back.
Please help me resolve this issue.

    Bribild, That is not the issue. The light starts falshing fast some time after I turn off the set. The normal power off light flashing happens and stops then some time later the fast flashing starts. The sometime later could be 7 hrs later or 40 mins later.

    I hope this explaination helps you understand the issue better so you can help me resolve the problem. Thanks for hte reply.

The reason the light flashes, is because the tv is still on, that is the fan is cooling off the lamp. It will go off after about 1 minute. This is normal.

Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the set, and getthe regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons togetherfor about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.
For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37.
Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:
12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filtercover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cablebetween FMT and Engine disconnected

My Mitsubishi tv model wd-62525 not on the light of timer is linking

If one light is blinking (lamp light?) remove and inspect lamp to make sure it is in correctly and not shattered. If the set has a recessed reset button on front (if set is unplugged and plugged back it should blink green for about 70 seconds and go out) you may have a issue there.

The model indicated here has a host of problems.

I have a Mitsubishi WD-62525 HDTV that suddenly wont turn on. Just has a green blinking light when you hit the power button. Any ideas?

I found this on another website, most likely it is your power supply capacitors.
  1. Press the "reset" button and hold for 10 seconds .... Does TV turn on and blinking green light turn to solid green.

  2. Unplug the TV from it's power source for various times, ranging between 5 minutes and 24 hours..... Does blinking green light continue upon plugging in the TV.

  3. Disconnect ALL devices from the TV; DVD, Tuner, Cable Box, unplug the TV for various duration times .... Does blinking green light continues upon plugging in the TV.

  4. Press Power and Menu buttons simultaneously and hold depressed for 20 seconds .... Does blinking green light continue to flash.

  5. Press Power and Display buttons simultaneously and hold depressed for 20 seconds .... Does blinking green light continue to flash.

  6. Insure that no front panel buttons are inadvertently stuck in an "engaged" position.

Diagnosis: If none of the above test resolve the issue, then the failure lies in one of the following:

  1. DM Module Capacitors have FAILED.
  2. DM Module is defective.
  3. EEPROM Board failure
  4. Power Supply failure.

Light indicater keeps coming on light wont stop. mitsubisi brand

Have you had the bulb replaced in the unit yet? There is a timer in the unit that is set to a specific number of hours. If that is not reset when the lamp is changed you may still have this problem. The issue could also be unrelated to the lamp but in the power supply itself. I think you would be best advised to contact a repair shop about the unit.

Timer light did not stop flash

Lamp is not the issue. It most likely is a your DM card. You most likely have some capacitors that need to be replaced. This is a terrible issue with this unit. Do a google search for "DM" and the model number and you should see hundreds of posts.
