I have Panasonic KX-T7420s with a TVS50. I have voice mail set up at each extension number. I tried calling from an outside number and transferring to a different extension number to see if I can leave...

Take a look at the manual. One of the bits in programming deals with the status of the FWD/DND button. You can make it light solid for FWD and flash for DND. There are other ways to intercept the calls, but trust me, this is the cleanest. You set 7104 165 # and it will forward always on no answer after x rings. Those rings are set system wide and can be adjusted in programming.

If you sit down wiht the PG manual, pay attentiion to programs 202,203,619 and 990 area 9 bits 3&4. A ring cycle is about 6 seconds and the default intercept is TWELVE rings....you should adjust that to no more that 4.

Ringer/ Voicemail Bounceback

Well, this one is kinda tricky. If the receptionist knows there's no one there, they can use VoiceMail Transfer.

From the phone, the user can set CF Busy or CF Busy/No Answer with the following codes on the intercom:

Do Not Disturb *7101 / Cancel *7100

Call Forwarding2.gif (FWD)

– Both Calls *710
– Outside Calls *711
– Intercom Calls *712

2 (All calls) + phone no. + #/
3 (Busy) + phone no. + #/
4 (No Answer) + phone no. + #/
5 (Busy/No Answer) + phone no. + #/
7 (Follow Me) + your extension no./
8 (Follow Me Cancel) + your extension no.

So, if your voice mail is 500, you would dial *7105500# to set CF B/NA for intercom and outside calls.

The last piece of the puzzle is the timing. That's *713 (00-99). Start with 24 (4 rings) and go from there. If it hits the receptionist before the forward takes place, you probably have to adjust the recall timer for call transfer, a system program.

When call goes to voicemail, it says call being transfered

I understand that you would like to bypass Auto Attendant for your lines.
On extension 10 or 11
Feature 00
Left Intercom, Left Intercome
#208
Line 01
Enter your extension number
#208
Line 02
Do the same for all of the lines.
Go to your extension to program a voicemail cover button. Without it being on voicemail wont pick up
Press Feature 00
Select a button and call it Call Cover press it
Enter Feature 15
Feature 00
Press that button so the green light lights up.
Test.

Voicemail won't allow recording transfers back to receptionist!

Are the mailboxes set up?? What happens is a call goes to an extension, there is one program set to tell the system that if a call rings 4 times, go here(voicemail). Once it goes there, the voicemail system sees that there is or is not a mailbox matching that extension. If there is, the call goes to voicemail, if not, it transfers to the operator.

OR.....Does your system display the correct time? Its possible that the phone system lost its programming, and doesnt know where the voicemail is.

Both might need a professional tech on site...a bit too hard to help over a forum.
