Question about HP OfficeJet Pro K8600 Printer

1 Answer

Printer Pings Fine, Installed Correct and still failed to print.

I've had this printer 'HP Officejet Pro K8600 Printer' installed for quite some time on a wireless network and it has worked perfect. I've recently installed a HP C6180 All-In-One printer and hooked it up wirelessly as well. It was quite the pain to get the all in one printer hooked up correct wirelessly. Well since I have, I can no longer print to the K8600 at all. I have ping the printer in CMD and it is perfect, 0%loss. The all in one prints fine; but it seems that since I have installed it, it has somehow cause my K8600 to not work. I need both these devices hooked up and running at the same time and to be able to print with ease to either one. How do I this and what is going on with this system?

Ok let your c6180 continue the way it is now re-install your officejet k8600.
and do not switch of the other printer while doing this..
If you need any help either ask me or contact hp customer support at 1800-474-6836 and they will give you phone assistance and if u have a high internet connection then they will also be able to take a remote session with your computer and make both printers work while you can sit back and relax and watch what is happening.

what has happened here is your new all in one printer has taken the wireless settings of your officejet printer.
so when you reinstall the officejet printer then the officejet printer will automatically detect and create its own wireless settings diffrent from the photosmart printer and both will then work.Cheers and hope you have a wonderful year ahead of you

I found the answer in another post that didn't come up with my initial search. In case someone else needs to know, just go into your printer properties, the advanced tab, click the print processor button

K8600 won't print tabloid after upgrading to Windows 7. I have installed the latest drivers and restarted the computer, but so far nothing has worked.

Win7 HP Tabloid wont print -

- Open the HP K8600 Printer from Devices & Printers

- Select Customize your Printer / Advanced Tab

- Click the 'Print Processor button at the bottom of the dialog

- Choose the "winprint" print processor option instead of the HP one.

Leave the Default data type as "RAW"

This should work with the current Win7driver (these are downloaded when you select 'new driver' from the advanced dialog and then 'Windows update' a couple of screens later. There is HP driver (V13 I believe from January( that has been recommended by others, bu I have yet to need it...
