Question about Hardware & Accessories

Open Question

I pulled a paragon time command from among "treasure" in basement, "Time Command 48" and print on back is too dim to read. Do tabs set AND reset in case I change my mind about on/off schedule? Any resource for manual? Thx!

SOURCE: unable to change the DVD 1 Command Mode back to DVD 3 (DEFAULT) SETTING

Had the same problem when I changed the factory settings by mistake. There is no "cancel" button in the remote or the set. What worked for me was to follow the directions on P. 22 of the manual and change the remote settings to DVD 1. This is done by holding the "Enter" button and pressing number 1 on the keypad simultaneously for more than 5 seconds. Then, you go back to the "Settings" screen with the "Settings" button, change the control back to DVD 3, and reverse the setting in the remote by pressing "Enter" and the number 3 this time. Remember to hold them down more than 5 seconds. Good luck!

SOURCE: changing remote command mode for sony rdr-hx525 without remote control

Hold the "Enter" button along with the numeric button for the command mode you selected in Setup. This will reset the remote to work in the command mode you selected (also lets you get back into System Menu to try other command modes). If you pick a different command mode, you'll need to do this again to reset the remote to the selected mode. Found this info courtesy our friends on the Internet - no thanks to Sony's manual...

SOURCE: just tell me how to

To reset the printer.
1) Turn printer off.
2) Hold down feed button whilst turning printer on.
3) Let go of the feed button as soon as it starts to flash and then wait.
4) Printer will measure out 4 labels then print out a Hex dump ending with a not to "Push Feed to Exit"
5) Push feed

Follow the above instructions, if you mess around tapping the feed button (not following the above) you can change the printer between line mode and page mode. To swap that back is another storey.

SOURCE: Command mode change disabled remote

According to Sony, if you turn the power on and hold the Enter key and the #1 key down together for at least 3 seconds, everything will default back to factory settings.

Your switch could be looped. You could either unplug each rj45, or go into each port and use the shut command to find out if that is the case. If there are other switches hung off of this one, you could use the spanning tree command to auto shut the redundant interface down.

How do I set time on a 4Gb Sansa Fuze?

Press the MENU button to bring up the main menu. "Turn" the command wheel to select "Settings" and press the central button. "Turn" the command wheel to select "System Settings" and press the central button. "Turn" the command wheel to select "Date & Time" (it's not initially on the screen, the screen will scroll when you hit the bottom) and press the central button.

Select the desired field by "turning" the command wheel and either press the central button or click the right side of the command wheel. Change the field by "turning" the command wheel. When you have the field set properly, click the left side of the command wheel and you can then select another field.

When done, repeatedly click the left side of the command wheel to back out of the menu system.

the command mode for the recorder you set above.
1 Hold down ENTER
2 While holding down ENTER, enter the
command mode code number using the
number buttons.
Command Mode Code number
DVD1 number button 1
DVD2 number button 2
DVD3 number button 3
3 Hold down both the number buttons and
ENTER at the same time for more than 3
seconds.
4 Let up, press RETURN, all done!

My epson stylus color 670 prints goobley gook

Many older printers want to finish a print command before allowing resetting to normal printing, and will ignore your cancel print command in My Computer/Control Panel/Printers/Properties. So either let it finish by feeding used paper or unplug it, cancel documents and then plug it in with the power and feed buttons pressed at the same time to reset. If it will still not print normally despite clearing document print commands and unplugging and resetting, dip switches may be defective or on-board software is corrupted.

Blue patch

you didn't state how many hours are on the unit, but I'm guessing close to 3,000 hours, that is when most brands have LCD panel failures, due to the heat over time the coating on the lcd panels burns off, the panels start to burn up, and it gets worse with time, and you notice it more when you put a fresh bright lamp in. if it is low hours then you could have a bad lamp, that casts a bad tint, but it sounds like fried LcD panels, a sure way to tell, is put up a white back-ground screen and see if you see discolored "BLOB" in the center of the screen.
keeping the filters clean, and the projector cool is the best way to prevent this.
