How do I fix drivers window that wont go up or down on a 2000 dodge durango

This is a common problem in these model years of Chrysler vehicles, Be patient and you can easily DIY. The mechanism consists of a motor and two cable/two guide rail assembly. The guide rails hold the window onto the cable with a clip on each rail. It is better to buy the whole assembly new rather than just replacing a bad motor or just the guide rail/cable assembly. I have been burned just replacing one or the other only to learn when popping open the cable spool that 1) cable is shredded or 2) it ain't easy winding the cable back up as tight as the mfr had it and the window won't roll up with the same speed as the other one. You will need a Torx set... a 25 or 30 size if I remember will remove the guide rail bolts. Some models have the motors riveting on with soft aluminum rivets. Just drill them out... like butter. Others have torx bolts on them with the nuts encapsulated inside a grommet. Put your hand behind and inside the door panel to hold them with your hand when removing the torx bolts. Their are two holes on the inside of the door panel... one guide rail is extracted through one of them, and the other one through it's own hole. Push the window up first, have an assistance hold it halfway up for you so you can see and pull the guide rail release clips with needle-nose pliers. Push the window up all the way and tape it using a good tape around the door sill at the top. Then you can start removing/replacing the motor and guide rails. When your done, plug the wiring harness back in and raise the guide rail half way up using the motor and then unplug the harness again. Have your trusty assistant lower the window down gently, insuring it's inside the groove and stopped by the guide rail clip assembly. Insert the clips back in and test your work before re-assembling your door panel. Crutchfield makes new door panel liner, if yours is crispy. A heat gun sometimes help remove them more intact. Good luck!

Opened my sunroof heard a crunch now will not close all the way

You are all incorrect with diagnosis. And there is no button hokd calibration, stop it. Read on. So easy a caveman could do it. 1.5 hr job only removing glass.

(Inside vehicle)Remove the 4 hex screws that attach the glass to the rail guides and remove the glass panel. This will also allow for manual movement of rails. The glass is adjustable(hight only) so mind the position when removing the screws.
. Hold the glass like a pizza pan for it will slide down as u loosen each screw, remove the screws then lift upward and rest glass on roof. Removing the glass will give a good view of both guide rail and concting arms. The crunch you heard was one of the connecting arms plastic rail guide tips breaking. Picture a catamaran for a moment. The pontoons are the plastic pieces that slide fore and aft inside the rail and keep everything aligned. It will be the outside(pontoon) guide piece that failed. When that broke, a lot of play was allowed and began binding. Bless the poor folks who bought a whole new unit for nothing. I fabricated two pieces from the plugs off an older dell power supply. The plugs were the exact same length as the factory guides and even beveled ends. I only had to cut the plugs in half long ways and then install on the slider. Even the holes that are already in the plugs fit the stud (pivot stud that the pontoon slides onto) the guide. Sunroof will not vent if any of the pontoons are damaged. When venting, theses guides(pontoons) pivot upward through a slot on the top side of rail slot and rest on the rail so not to close by wind. Hope this helps. I have a MieleG2142. One of the racks is not sliding smoothly which I believe I have narrowed down to one of the wheels in the rail guides not turning. How are the rail guides removed?

Hi dear.Try this.Pull the top basket towards you.Check on the side (if you can) back of the basket two of the wheels on top row should be on rail guide & third one just under the rail guide to support the basket. It should be even on both side of basket to run smoothly. If not pull the basket all the way towards you & lift up the basket you are holding.Basket will be free to come out of rail guide.(Please check, are the rail guides running in & out freely without basket? If not there are two plastic wheel inside of the each rail guide one or two of it must be damaged. That needs to be replaced. Please also check side wheels on the basket, they sould be freely turning. If not needs to be replaced.) If that did not work out,try to put back the basket even way to rail guide the way took it off.Contact Miele for assitants.Thanks.Goodluck.

CYLINDER HEAD REMOVAL FOR MB E320 1995 . do i need to take out the timing chain guard before takign out the cylinder head i need help pls thank you

no-just make sure you remove the pin that secures the inner guide rail. The banana rail isn't secured on the head. If the inner guide rail breaks then you will have to remove the bottom front cover to replace it so be careful.

Phaser 860 maintenance tray A stuck

1. The Maintenance Drawer will not come out. - Often times this can be overcome by waiting 2 minutes for the ?Hot Ink? timer to expire, then remove the Maintenance Drawer. 2. If the printers Maintenance Drawer is locked in place and can not be removed and there are no cleaning functions currently taking place then the Maintenance Drawer can be unlocked by removing the right side cover and move the Cap/Wipe/Purge belts evenly down to the home position. This will raise the sensor flag from I/O Left and disengage the locking pin that is preventing the Maintenance Drawer from being removed. 3. If either Maintenance Drawer Guides (Blue Plastic Rail guides) have been replaced or removed and reinstalled and this is preventing the proper insertion of the Maintenance Drawer then check on the outside of the chassis frame that both rear locking tabs for the rail guides are protruding through the printers frame and are properly seated and notched into place. ? If they are not properly installed and seated then remove the rail guides and reinstall and then test for proper insertion and removal of the printers Maintenance Drawer. 4. Obstructions or spilled ink (wax) may be covering the Drum Maintenance rail guides and preventing the proper insertion or removal of the Maintenance Drawer. ? Check the printers Drum Maintenance Rail guides for any paper scraps or spilled ink or leaking ink from the Printhead. Make sure that there is no spilled ink under the Maintenance drawer waste tray and that it is seated properly. TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS AND HINTS: In order to provide more clearance when removing the printers Drum Maintenance rail guides, use the X-axis gear to move the Printhead away from the drawer guide that you are removing/installing. Also raise the Cap/Wipe/Purge assembly to reduce interference. When a drawer rail guide is mounted, double check its rear locking tabs where they go through the chassis side frame. Both blue tabs should be visible on the outside of the frame of the printer.
