you prolly have an electrical short somewhere. follow the circuit and if any safety is getting around 200-250 dc millivolts then theres the problem. otherwise you have an open safety switch, or tsta controls

Check the control circuit, specifically the pressure switch, for continuity with an ohm meter....any reading over 2 ohms needs to be investigated

Try cleaning your filter if dirty there will not be enough flow to llet heater fire. If filters clean you can try jumping the pressure switch.

My Hayward H series main burner will not ignite. The pilot light is lit and seems to be fine, but the main burner will not ignite. Any ideas? Thanks.

There could be several problems here if the main gas valve is ok which can be determined by shorting the TH and TH TP wires the gas valve will ignite. Now you have the chore of determining which safety sensor/switch is bad. Start with the pressure switch then high limits, thermostat, on/off switch. On millivolt heaters dirty contacts are primary suspects as contact resistance degrades the low voltage to activate the gas valve. If you follow the schematic you can isolate the bad part.
