Question about Hitachi 53UDX10B 53" Rear Projection Television
I thought there should be are 5 green
LED's and one RED one. All of them should be on if the TV is working
There are PICO fuses that blow when a circuit is not working and the assosiated LED will not lite. If a LED is missing it means there is a problem in the circuit and should be fixed prior to replacing the PICO fuse.
A common problem is with CONVERGENCE IC's that go bad. Your set has a MAGIC FOCUS FEATURE that when pressed on the front panel of the TV could be quite entertaining for a youngster. Pressed repeatly
might damage the circuit. The inside LED, lit or not, would point you in this direction.
If you decide to investigate by taking the back off be warned that there are voltages that may cause injury. I would suggest calling a serviceman to determine why your set will not power up and display a picture.
