How do I clean the table fan? It is very dirty.

Remove the front grille with a phillips screwdriver, there are also two T10 Torx screws on the top and bottom. Wipe everything down with disinfectant wipes. Do NOT use water, with the exception of the front (dry it thoroughly). Don't remove the fan blades. Replace the front grille and screws.

How to disassemble lasko hassock floor fan

I'm assuming you want to open the fan up to give it a thorough cleaning. This is how I got one open. First things first, make sure it's unplugged. No need to risk zapping yourself of accidentally turning it on when your fingers are in range of the fan blade...

Turn the fan upside down. There are four very long Phillips screws concealed by long plastic sleeves that cover the shafts of the screws, with the ***** heads covered by the rubber feet at the bottom of the unit. Pop out the rubber feet, then loosen the screws (there will likely be an alarming snap when they break loose). The two-piece top of the unit will come loose. You can then remove the screws and the plastic sleeves that hide the screws.

Turn the unit right side up and remove the fan blade. The nut holding the blade on is reverse thread, so "lefty loosy, righty tighty" will not apply--turn the nut clockwise to loosen. Remove the nut and lock washer, then pull the blade from underneath the hub (it'll take a bit of force to pop it off.

The wire from the motor to the speed control switch connects the base to the cylindrical center portion of the unit. To separate the center portion from the base, pull the knob off of the shaft of the switch and remove the ***** holding it in place. The switch can then be disconnected from the center piece. I'd put the ***** back into the switch to keep it from disappearing.

The motor can be removed from the base by removing the three screws holding it to the base from underneath, but unless you're looking to replace the motor, you shouldn't need to do this.

Put it back together by reversing the disassembly process.

How do you replace the fan blade on the ceiling

after you obtain a replacement blade, preferably of same size and weight for better balance than a blade of different stats that will make the fan move around like crazy when running, remove the screw the mount it to it's arm. these screw are accessed by getting into a position where you can reach the top side of the blade(the side facing the ceiling) and using a screwdriver to remove the screws. put new blade on replace the screws(you can use the same ones you just removed from it) then turn on the power and enjoy the breeze.

The fan won't turn on at all.

Turn the fan to the on position and feel the motor casing. Is there any vibration at all? If not, refer to your operating manual to see if there's a fuse that can be replaced. Spare fuses are sometimes attached to the cord. Also try slightly spreading the 2 prongs that conduct electricity through the wall socket for good contact.

If you DO feel vibrating, try a maintenence cleaning and lubrication with either Graphite powder, 3 in 1 machine oil or WD40. I will take you through the steps:
1) unplug the fan
2) there will either be flip releases or notches to slightly pry loose the protective fan SCREEN blade housing. Pop this off and clean + dry it, set aside.
3) With fan blaeds exposed, look at the very center of the blades. There will be a large plastic nut that turns counter closkwise to release the fan blades. Do this, clean blades with warm soapy water. Rinse, dry and set aside.
Behind this will be another large plastic nut that releases the back side of the blade housing. This nut should turn closkwise this time. Again, clean, dry and set aside.
4) You should be down to the motor, stand and fan motor stem. Check for residue build up and clean with a Qtip. You can still remove the housing face and clean behind this if necessary. There will be several screws holding this on. Wiggle apart.
5) Lay fan on its back with the fan motor stem facing up toward the ceiling.
6) At the base of the stem, one small tap of one lubricant of your choise. No more than one quick shot WD40 or 2 drops 3 in 1 machine oil.
7) By hand, gently turn the motor stem closkwise to disburse lubricant. Wipe off any excess with a tissue.

Follow the reverse steps to reassemble. If you had latches on the face, line up the notches or the name on the face to be level at allignment. If you had to pry the face off with a flat blade screw driver, again line up the screen guard (face) and pop/squeaze it back together.

This maintence should be done twice per year to assure a long life! They are made to come apart for maintence so don't be afraid. Take pictures as you go for easy referrance. It relieves you of the tension of remembering what went where! Hope this was helpful!

Lasko 3520 20-Inch Cyclone fan - disassemble fan for cleaning?

How do I clean my Cyclone or Air Companion™?
Lay the fan face up on a flat surface. The front grill should be facing you. Remove the screws from the rear grill. Place a flat-head screwdriver into the gap between the front and rear grills. Pull the front grill towards you, exposing the fan blade. Do not remove the knobs on either side. Then, wipe the blade with a soft, damp cloth. Use a mild detergent if necessary. Be sure not to touch the motor. Click here to download product instruction sheet.

Unable to remove the fan blade on the neff u1721 oven (too tight)

The nut is a left hand thread, so unscrew it clockwise to release it, hold fan blade as you are doing this. Tighten anti- clockwise.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.
