“F02” is a Long Drain error. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a “SUDS” error may also be generated as a secondary error. This is an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:

1. Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
2. Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
3. Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.

To check the drain pump, click on the following link for step-by-step instructions.

If the above procedures do not correct the problem, it is recommended by the manufacturer to replace the drain pump

Washing machine wont spin f-02

The Hotpoint F-02 error code is associated with a Motor Fault, now strange as this may sound, but it possibly wont mean the motor is faulty, it simply means the main PCB in the machine has sent a signal for the motor to start, but it's not receiving one back to say it is going.. Usually if you can turn the drum by hand, then the fault would generally be the Tacho of the motor, this is a small device on the back of the motor with two wires coming from it. Check to make sure the Tacho hasn't come loose or fallen off, then one by one remome and reattach the connectors going to the main PCB, vibration can cause these to become loose...Good Luck

Engine fault or main board fault. Most likely main board.
Check cable harness from main board to engine. Check the carbon brushes on the engine. If its all okay, replace main board

My hotpoint wt741 washing machine hsa stopped doing full cycles and flashes an error message F-02

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

'F02' for Hotpoint/Ariston and Indesit (who makes them) decodes as 'motor jammed/tacho detached: check motor and module connections'
The good news (probably) is that often these faults are cured by disconnecting the module (PCB) cables/plugs and reconnecting again, a fairly swift operation. I suppose the bad news is that you will need a service engineer to carry it out?
Hope this helps. and good luck!
