Calibrating Honeywell CT3600

In the thermostats setup there can be a calibration mode however this is a chasing the gragon type of endeavour that rarely ever culminates in thermostats jiving with another, they typically are off plus or minus 3-4 degrees anyways as they are not designed to maintain too narrow of a temperature differential or the furnace will short cycle or run too often & stop in short order.

Siemens defrost controler

turn the defrost cycle switch till the compressor shuts off, if the defrost heater starts working you know it's the cycle switch. Sometimes the thermostat has to be showing a need for the heater to even come on. In
this case you might have to jump out the thermostat to make the
heater come on. If you thaw the back of the freezer and visually inspect the heating element it can sometimes have burnt ends that will tell you
it is bad. You could also use a voltmeter and track where the voltage stops. But make sure the Thermostat and defrost cycle switch will be
calling for heater to come on.

Wont start checked the door switch and the start switch both have cont. it appears that the thermostat heater has too high of ohms reading 14000.

The most probable reason the dryer wont start is going to be a blow thermal fuse,This tip i wrote will help ya to check that fuse....the cycling thermostat as you refered to has to very different circuits, the one with the smaller wires will be appx. 14K ohms as you have seen and the other circuit will be ZERO ohms....but regardless that cycling t-stat has no bearing on if the dryer will start but only with the heat curcuit so disregard the cycle t-stat and concentrate on the thermal fuse
Here is that tip,

I have a minimax ch 150 heater and the heater is running but the water coming out is not as hot as it used to be. Though the heater is extremely hot on the outside. Any tips?

Check your SENSOR. With the Minimax ch heater, you might be using an 'IntelliTouch' panel that controls your equipment. If you are, check the reading that the panel says the water temperature is and then check the temperature of the water 'coming out' (spa??) manually with a floating thermometer. When the heater cycles off, check the difference between the 2 numbers. Say the panel says 102 & the thermometer says 95?? - that is a faulty sensor, telling the heater that the water has reached 102, so it cycles off before ever getting hot. If you're not using the IntelliTouch, you will be checking the display panel on the actual heater itself & again the floating thermometer. Now... if the temperature is less than a 4 degree difference you can always calibrate/or have calibrated the heater.

How does a top loader work?

You lift the lid and load your washing into it. They you select the wash cycle, select the type of fabrics you're washing and the temperature and then start the wash cycle.

Then's all kinds of variation, but generally, there's a timer and a thermostat that control a lot of the cycle behaviour like washing times and water temperatur, if their outside the thermostat calibration, the washing machine may not continue to the next cycle until the calibrated temperature registers on the thermostat.

Was there anything else you wanted to know about top loaders?

Gas dryer wont trun off after drying

If your dryer seems to run forever, it could be because of a clogged vent or internal ductwork. Your dryer may have an automatic cycle that turns off the dryer when the clothes are dry. It does this with a special thermostat or moisture-sensing system.

Normally, this is what happens during an automatic cycle:

  • The thermostat tells the dryer to heat until the interior of the dryer reaches a pre-set temperature--say 135 degrees.

  • When the dryer reaches the pre-set temperature, the thermostat tells the timer to begin advancing. (If there's a moisture sensor, the timer advances only if the moisture content of the clothing is low enough.)

  • The timer advances until the interior cools, then the thermostat tells the timer to stop advancing, and tells the dryer to start heating again.

This cycle continues until the clothes are dry. But…if the vent is clogged, the dryer may never reach the proper operating temperature, so it doesn't send the signal to the timer and the dryer continues to run indefinitely, even if the clothes are completely dry. To fix the problem, clean the vent and/or internal ductwork.

Estate mod TEDX640 JQ Not heating on automatic cycle Heats OK on Timed cycle

Your model has an internal bias heater built into the cycling thermostat. The heater is used for the auto-dry cycle and is bypassed by the timer in the time dry cycle. So, I would suspect the cycling thermostat, and it is cheaper than a timer, and without testing with a meter first, I would start by replacing the thermostat. Below is a link tht can assist you in parts and replacement instructions.
