SOURCE: Oven Striker

If I'm not mistaken, these dacor cooktops have an automatic re-ignition (meaning if the flame goes out, it will just relight it without you having to do it) If none of your burners will light, you probably have a bad spark ignition module. These are somewhat hard to change, as you have to take all the burners off and disconnect the spark wires and take the whole top of the cooktop off to get to the inner workings. Also, to get these burner bases off it takes a special tool by dacor, AND you usually have to replace all the burner seals once you take them apart.Your other, simpler option is to unplug the cooktop and plug a lamp or something in to the outlet the cooktop is using, just to make sure you have power. Just cause the breaker doesn't look like it's tripped, doesn't mean it isn't bad and the outlet is dead. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: GE profile gas range got

The glow bar igniter is got shorted. You can light he burners using the matchstick or external lighter, this indicates that gas flow is there and gas valve is getting open. But igniter is not functioning.May be its connector got short, due to getting wet.Try applying hair dryer to the igniter terminals and burner area,Getting the internal parts dried up, completely.Removing and cleaning the igniter terminal connector should help. But if that is not helping, then replace the glow bar igniter. This should help.---------
Its the problem with ignitor, it has to be replaced. Pretty easy, remove the floor, after unplugging, then 2 screws and 2 wire connections.------------Part cost is around $40 to $75 and is held in with 2 screws for the most part on these ranges. takes all of 25 minutes , only a screwdriver and a 1/4" nutdriver is needed for it's replacement. ------------- If you intend to order and replace this part yourself, you will need to use the model number (and possibly the serial number) to order the correct ignitor. The model and serial number is normally located on the side of the oven cavity opening. Open the oven door to view this area. If you find the model and serial number, you can visit the Sears PartsDirect website to order parts.-------------] This should help.thanks.helpmech.

How to light the pilot on my stove top

Most stoves with pilots the gas is blowing all the time out the pilot. If you can find it take a long match or a barbecue lighter and hold close to the pilot itself and if you ignite the burner its self with a match some times it will ignite itself if you are lucky. Some times you can take the cover off the burner to get to it.

Q 100 will not light but I hear the gas coming into the unit

Try lighting it with a fireplace lighter or long match. If it lights, your problem is your igniter. Either keep using lighters or replace the igniter.

Sounds like you shorted out the cig lighter which can also power other circuits. Have you checked the cig lighter fuse ?

I have a Hotpoint gas range that has electric ignition for the oven. However, I don't have electric at my cabin. Is there a conversion kit for a straight pilot ignition available? The model number is...

Most gas ranges with electronic ignition aren't equipped to have a straight pilot ignition.
I'm don't even think they make conversion kit because of the routing of the gas tubing for the pilot source.

Usually you have to turn the gas knob way over to get the "click-click-click" of the igniter.
Its just as easy to turn on the gas and light with a match...or a long butane lighter.
Even a "striker" used in welding will provide a source of ignition.
A last ditch effort would be to get a replacement gas grill igniter...all ya gotta do is place the bottom of igniter on metal surface and press red button. (kinda works like a spark plug) and no A/C needed.

Hope this helps some.

Is it harmful to the TEC grill components to throw a match in after turning the left and right gas on ... to ignite it. The ignition and the pilot do not work.

No!
I light mine with a flexible extended lighter. The lighter gives you better control then just tossing a match in. If the ignition and pilot aren't working you probably have a bad flame sensor, or thermocouple, or more than likely you have a spider web or other blockage in the line for the pilot.

I have a small propane reddy heater with an electric ignitor if power is out can i manually light it

Yes, you can. Use either a butane grill lighter or a long stick match. Make sure the control knob is in the "light" position and the wick is in the right position. Light the long stick match or butane grill lighter, press the control knob in and while holding it in, touch the flame of the match or butane grill lighter to the wick and the wick should ignite. Once it ignites, quickly remove the match without knocking the tip off into the heater.

My electronic ignition switches don't click anymore on stovetop or griddle, oven ignition doens't glow.

Yes, Its a common problem as the lighters get wor out after a long term of use.
There are two solutions for this problem of yours :
1] Get the lighters changed or see whether the cable or rod has broken or slipped.
2] Or instead Start using an external individual electric gas stove lighter and light whichever hob you would like to ignite with that electrinic lighter manually.

How to light our gas cooker

Modern gas cookers use an electronic ignition switch rather than a pilot light to light the gas for cooking. This means you can light your gas cooker with the touch of one button instead of using several matches or a flint lighter. Of course, you still have the option to light the gas cooker by hand with matches or a flint lighter if the ignition switch does not work the first time.

1.Open the gas regulator valve by pushing it in and turning it to a low setting.

2.Push the ignition switch once.

3.If the gas cooker does not light on the first try, close the gas regulation valve for one minute by pushing in on it and turning it back to the "Off" position.

4.Open the gas regulation valve, set it a bit higher than you did on the first lighting attempt, and push the ignition switch again.

5.Light the gas with a match or a flint lighter if the gas cooker does not light when you push the ignition switch again.
