Muratec 1430d. copies come out 75% black. erase lamp ok, new drum installed. whats next

Toner Cartridges can be defective, I hope its a new one and not a "re-fill".
Try a new cartridge "or" try to print a test pattern to see if prob is in Printer section or Optics.
Press ..Setting, *, 0,9. then select Test Pattern Print.
Select either "checkered", squares, or ladder..select paper size to print onto then press YES. if test prints are good then prob is in Optics...if test prints are no good its possibly the toner cartridge...also open RHS door/cover and check the fusing unit heat roller.
Oh..test patterns will keep printing...you have to Press STOP to stop them.

I just replaced my Muratec F-305 drum DK 203OUS with new one and the red warning dot comes up and says "Drum near end" with the new drum. What is wrong?


Yes, the display was saying "drum near end"....it was not saying to replace the drum,... you only replace the drum when it says "replace drum"....right now you have b;own the fuse in the new drum because you replaced it TOO SOON. You will have to find someone to replace the mini-fuse in the drum cartridge...it will still be ok...but soon you will not be able to print on the machine,,,READ THE USERS MANUAL.

Replace drum


Yes this indicator comes on approx. every 84,000 pages of print.
The Drum cartridge is "fused" and it will have to be replaced as the machine will eventually stop printing.
When the new drum cartridge is installed, the light will be re-set and you will be good for another ( approx. 84,000 pages.)
You will have to contact a local Muratec dealer to either get the drum cartridge or have them replace it.

Code "02" is for a FAN ERROR.
You may need a new Fan Motor, or a "connect A" pcb, or worst case scenario the main control pcb.

When copying a document the copy comes out all black, what is the poblem??


do you have the users manual??? if not get one at this address

Does anyone know of a reliable source to get Muratec Fuser assemblies repaired or at least a source to purchase the parts? Specifically the MCX 1430 or 2050. thanks,


The 1430 and 2050 fuser units are differently "geared" due to the speed difference the 2 machine run at. To find a local dealer who can help with parts...give Muratec Tech Support a call at 1-800-359-7035 and they can likely tell you who to contact in your local area.

YES....try the following...... Press PROGRAM,*,*,I(thats capital letter i) then press ENTER.
SHOULD RESET IT.

Reset drum counter on a muratec mfx 1430


Drum counter is reset by installation of a "NEW" drum.
There is a small fuse at the rear of the drum on the top( you will see the 2 brass contacts) When a new drum is installed, the fuse blows and resets the drum counter. Installing a used drum will not reset the counter as the fuse is already blown.

How do I reset the drum counter on a Muratec F320?


Ok, this is how I resolved it for my fax machine.
I powered down the fax, removed the new drum and reseated it.
When I powered it back on the counter reset itself as it is supposed to.

Replacing drum unit on copier: Sharp SF 2114


Well, if the light under the glass doesn't come on, that means that black copies can hapen. Nothing to do with the drum or drum unit. Either the lamp burnt or the protecting fuse is blown. If you take out the glass, you can mouve the carriage with the mirrors to the right and you can see the exposure lamp. If it has dark ( like silver) bands on it, the lamp is burnt and its brightness will not be enough to make a copy. CHANGE THE LAMP. If the lamp is ok check the thermic fuse wich is in touch with the lamp carriage, and normaly it burns when taking a lot of copies in one go. The drum is a red cilinder that is in drum unit next to the developer unit where you put the toner. If you open the ma chine you can see it about the midle just above the transfer corona. If you don't get it right i can explain how to change the drum. GOOD LUCK.
