Hi Belinda, I am not sure what you are asking for when you say headbolt. If you mean cylinder bolt, jug bolt or head bolt then
approximately 125 inch pounds.. not foot pounds!!!

This image I found for a Poulan chainsaw site, Poulan makes most of Craftsman saws. If you match the size you should find your torque setting.

Torque setting for the headbolts on a 106 1.1

While I don't know the exact torque or sequence you can find it in a Chiltons repair manual for the car. Don't waste the money to purchase the book, it's usually available at local public libraries.

Hi im a mechanic... I have a 2000 Deville with a northstar. Radiator, waterpump, thermostat, are all changed and good. There are no external leaks. I heard the Northstar motors have problems with there...

What happens is the head gaskets shrink causing the headbolts to loose torgue, and the headbolts are of one time use, whenever you do a headgasket job you will need to replace all the headbolts with new ones. and when ever you remove a cylinder head on any engine you should always chase the bolt holes with the proper tap, then blow out the holes with compressed air, this will help to insure a more accurate torque setting on the new headbolts...

My 94 Cadillac DeVille has a coolant problem, what part(s) do I need and on average what would be the cost of part(s) and labor?

If you have a Northstar Engine, sorry to tell you buddy... Either HeadGasket blown, or pulled Headbolts.... Now cadillac repairs these engines for around 3000$ atleast in my area.... You can have a Local mechanic do it, but the headbolts must be Time-Serted http://www.timesert.com/html/gm.html

Replacing head

There should be 10 headbolts. This vehicle uses torque to yield headbolts and should be replaced with the new gasket. Bolts 1-8 get torqued to 40 ft lbs initially, bolts 9 and 10 get torqued to 30 ft lbs initially, Then all bolts get turned an additional 90 degrees. I would strongly suggest borrowing a torque angle gauge for doing this or you might be doing the same repair next week.

What are the torque settings on chevrolet 2000 4.8L headbolts?

Assuming its a smallblock and they have not changed values, for just about forever they have been 65. I'd check a manual or even a dealer... even though they don't give out much info, they will likely tell you that even on phone!
