Can I clean the steam kit DC97-09101J or do i need to re-order?

The hose assembly that feeds to this part comes undone and have had to replace the hose assembly multiple times due to melting plastic. I assume something is clogged in the steam kit part causing the built up pressure which melts the parts and or causes the hosing to burst open. Result is a wet floor and another part order.

I would recommend having someone look at the machine. There are a few things that could be causing this to happen (The hose, your steam sensor) and it's better to spend the $ on getting it fixed than just purchasing parts that may or may not fix the issue. Good Luck!

Had the same thing happen to mine. The plastic check valve before the steam heater melted and burst. Finally found the the steam port located just inside the door at the top of the rubber seal was plugged with a few tiny pieces of scale. Used a toothpick to break up the scale by sticking the toothpick through the two small holes in the port where the steam enters the wash chamber. I'd assume that there would be a means to activate the steam water solenoid via one of the technician codes which would help flush these scale particles out while probing with the toothpick. Unfortunately, I don't have a technical manual that would show how to do this.

SOURCE: Had a ND error but

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

I would expect it to have a filter already. As far as I am aware the only washers which definitely do NOT have filters are Hotpoint WF350 and Whirlpool Cabrio (though why not I have no idea!)???
Following are my complete and general guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

SOURCE: Samsung WF209ANW front load washer

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

ND error in your Samsung Front Load washer indicates no drain issue. To start with check the drain hose for any clogs and try cleaning it, then check restriction in drain pump assembly or loose wire at the pump. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Oreck steam cleaner, it doesn't give out steam

Use the tool that came with it to clean the nozzle where steam comes out. End nozzle also comes off so you can clean the larger hole with the other scrublike side of the tool.
Also, listen for steam assembly working, a low rumble like sound. If you do not hear it, it is broken and needs to be replaced.

How do i clean 9000s

HP LaserJet 9000?

Leave the printer alone, except for feed roller replacement and/or maintenance kit replacement.
The fusing assembly and transfer assembly will probably go all the way (350,000 pages), but the paper feed rollers are only good for about 100,000 to 200,000 pages.

After about one or two million pages are printed, the paper feed (PIU) assembly needs to be removed so that the sensors can be cleaned of paper dust.

At this time, (about 1.5 million pages), you might as well replace the registration assembly.

I have a 9000 out there with well over 5 million pages on it...
Keep in mind: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!".

Iam trying to use the upolhstery piece. Iam squeezing the button and no cleaner is coming out. Iam using by hoover steam vac deluxe spin.

Confirm that the hose is correctly connected to the clean water supply. If so, then remove it and, with the trigger operated on the hose, try to blow into the water feed connector. If you cannot pass air, the feed tube in the hose is clogged and must be cleaned (either by running faucet water into the brush end (with trigger pulled) or by using compressed air....

Shark steam mop won't steam

I have had my steam mop for about 2 yrs and absolutely love it. I have not experienced any difficulty with it until I recently noticed it would heat up but not steam.

I contacted Shark's Consumer Products services at 1-800-798-7398 and the person on the other end was very helpful. After giving me a few pointers, we discovered that my mop needs repairs.

They have a one year warranty, which my mop is past, so I will need to mail it in to them with a check for $9.95 for return shipping and a check for $17.95 for repairs. They will replace it if they are not able to repair it for no further costs.

I highly recommend giving them a call. There is also a live chat available on their website that can point you to the service or person you need to speak with.

I couldn't find ANY help on ANY web sites for this model, just too old I guess.
