The hose assembly that feeds to this part comes undone and have had to replace the hose assembly multiple times due to melting plastic. I assume something is clogged in the steam kit part causing the built up pressure which melts the parts and or causes the hosing to burst open. Result is a wet floor and another part order.
I would recommend having someone look at the machine. There are a few things that could be causing this to happen (The hose, your steam sensor) and it's better to spend the $ on getting it fixed than just purchasing parts that may or may not fix the issue. Good Luck!
Had the same thing happen to mine. The plastic check valve before the steam heater melted and burst. Finally found the the steam port located just inside the door at the top of the rubber seal was plugged with a few tiny pieces of scale. Used a toothpick to break up the scale by sticking the toothpick through the two small holes in the port where the steam enters the wash chamber. I'd assume that there would be a means to activate the steam water solenoid via one of the technician codes which would help flush these scale particles out while probing with the toothpick. Unfortunately, I don't have a technical manual that would show how to do this.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
I would expect it to have a filter already. As far as I am aware the only washers which definitely do NOT have filters are Hotpoint WF350 and Whirlpool Cabrio (though why not I have no idea!)???
Following are my complete and general guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
ND error in your Samsung Front Load washer
indicates no drain issue. To start with check the drain hose for any clogs and
try cleaning it, then check restriction in drain pump assembly or loose wire at
the pump. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.
