Question about Whirlpool Washing Machines
I had frost on the food in the freezer but the fridge was cool. Then a few days ago, the fridge was not cool enough so I came here and follow the instructions to look behind the panel in the freezer. There was solid ice all round the connectors (one goes to he fan, the others I don't know, I think they are for the ice maker, which I don't have). I melted all the ice and noticed the fax was not running. I gave it a few nudges on the blades and it started working. It worked for while but after it stopped never turned on again. The freezer is working but is cold. I am not sure if I need to buy a new fan or a thermostat.
If you nudged the fan and it started working it could be defective and needs to be replaced or it could be freezing up because of freezing condensation. Be sure that all the coils under and behind the fridge, if there are any,
are free from dirt and dust. If this is a refridg/freezer be sure the air vent between them, on the inside, is not blocked by anything. The airflow is necessary for proper temp control.

probably the water valve is not shutting of completly . this will flood the tray and then run over into the bucket. try // i would replace water valve . if this does not correct prob. replace the ice mker head as it time's the fill..

First, check the simple things. Is the condenser grill free of debri and air able to circulate around it.
If that is okay, then I would take the food, shelves and inside back panel off and see if there is an ice build up. If so you can either unplug and let it set with the doors open to defrost the unit or you can hurry it up with a hair dryer, but don't get it to close or drop it.
If you have a frost free refrigerator AND got an ice build up, then your defrost assembly is no longer working and need replaced (but you can run the refrigerator until it come in without damage).
