Question about Televison & Video
I have some Philips (widescreen) crt tv, and i forget sometimes to set timer on the tv when i go to sleep, and when my digital receiver goes off, my screen goes blue, and stays blue sometimes for 3-5 hours, depends when i wake up, i was wondering if there is any risk of screen burn in when it's blue?

Generally these type of problem occurs due to atmosphere contains moisture content. Even if it happens in warm area i suspect fbt leakage. Since this is high voltage transformer it can be serviced by qualified technicians only. Red light flashes indicates the tv in protection mode to avoid severe damage due to some short circuit. I think it is helpful to you

try pressing the timer button again and then if that does not work go into the menu and look for power saving options. shut off the timer by that way. make sure the tv is on the video setting and not av or dvd if it has those as you won't see the menu.
