Hi..I think you mean SAFE mode...My computer (HP) has a way to hit one of the "F" buttons on the top row..to start the computer in a mode that will allow me to do a complete reinstall of the complete operating system, as in the day you bought the computer, but it erases ALL of your data, wipes it clean so to speak. So if you dont have anything like me thats important you can try that...How do you get on here with your computer if it dont work, exept in safe mode???

Hi
I got this recently on my Samsung Galaxy. Following my experience with PCs, which need to be rebooted to return to normal mode, I completely powered down the Galaxy. When it rebooted it was in normal mode.
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya

How do I take me computer back to normal mode

best thing would be to go back to the previous set up then. If you are on Windows, go to System Restore. Go to Start>All Programs>System Tools>System Restore
You want to chose a date in BOLD before you downloaded this software, highlight it, and click Restore or OK

Zoo tycoon can't load/save games

Unfortunately running an older game like this, you will have issues. Make sure you have the latest updates installed. If that doesn't resolve the issue you may not be able to save under windows 7. I would try compatibility for windows 98 before I give up all hope though.

ACER not booting up, safe mode message, blank screen

possibly you can remove the hard drive and connect it to another computer and access it that way, just connect it and boot the computer as normal if the drive is not corrupted you should be able to access it and save files such as pictures and documents to the other computer if he's wanting to save installed programs he is out of luck unless he has downloaded and saved the installer file or .exe cause installed files and programs can not be saved.

To reinstall it. booting it doesn't work. So need to have reinstall. do I need a disk?

Yes, if you want to reinstall the copy of your Windows installed in your computer you need to have a Windows CD.

But try doing System Restore first on safe mode if you still can before doing a Windows reinstallation or repair to save money from buying a WIndows CD and from loosing all your files in your computer.

To do system restore on safe mode:

1. Restart your computer and when the Dell Logo comes up and keep pressing F8 until an option shows
2. Use arrows to navigate then choose safe mode
3. Click start button then choose All programs or Program depending on the Windows installed in your computer
4. Click on System tools then choose System Restore
5. Follow the intructions on the System Restore windows on how to restore your machine back to a previous date before this issue happen.
6. Your computer will automatically restart after restore is done

Hope this information will be helpful. Thank you for using FIXYA.

After installing the software then connecting the scanner my computer boots to desktop then shuts off repeatedly.

Hi
The drivers you installed for the scanner are causing your problem, you need to remove them.Make sure the scanner is disconnected from the computer for this.
Start your machine and right after the POST screen, before the Windows startup screen, tap the F8 key repeatedly until your start options screen comes up.
Try booting with the "Last known good configuration" option first. If Windows starts up and functions normally then it worked and has taken you back to right before you installed the software. If not,we'll restart and go through the F8 routine again.
This time, use the "Boot in Safe Mode" option. If you're not familiar with safe mode everything will look really big, that's normal.Go to Start-Programs-All Programs-Accessories-System Tools-System Restore.Start sys. restore and follow along until it asks you which restore point you want to use.Look for a point before you installed the scanner and pick that.
It takes a while to restore, and it will restart your computer at some point. And hopefully after that everything will be normal again.
Post back and let me know what happens with what you have so far.If none of that works there are other options, but those are the ones to start with.I'll be here.
If the steps above work, would youplease rate my post?
Bob

I can not delete a download called, freeride games player. It keeps saying the program is running, that I should close the program, then return to control panel to delete. I have deleted all referance to...

Start the computer in safe mode by pressing f8 as the first screen appears and selecting safe mode.
it will start slower than normal , and when it does , uninstall , not delete the program in question. if you just delete the directory, it will leave junk installed you dont want. Sooo unistall it from it's own uninstall program or from the "add & remove programs" section in the controll panel.

Start up

try starting the computer normally, this usually happens if you computers power was cut while booting up, its just a small harmless glitch.  As for the returning back to the prompt try running it with command prompt. when you get to the command prompt, type (chkdsk) and let it run this might also fix any other problems that you are not seeing.
