Xbox 360 Every time I turn on my xbox 360 it won't show up on the screen. I try to solve it but i don't know what to do. My dad already fixed it once but it happened again. There is no red ring which I am happy for that. Note: I have to turn on my VSR to make it work. Yet I can still hear the noises like scrolling around the guide. Can someone tell me what is going on and how to fix this problem. It would really help a lot. Please bring in solutions. I will read every solution and try them. Thanks for helping me.

Xbox 360 - Stuck or sticking tray fix!

If your Xbox 360 DVD drive won’t eject it can be a very simple fix.

The Samsung drive is almost always a very simple fix, if you have another drive, it may be more difficult.

To identify your drive, follow this guide:

• Remove the faceplate by firmly grasping the opening for the USB ports and pulling.
• Underneath the DVD tray there should be a small hole.
• Look at the wires in the hole to identify which drive type you have.

Red and Black Wires = Samsung Drive
Yellow Wires = LiteOn Drive
White Wires = BenQ Drive
No Wires = Hitachi Drive

SAMSUNG:

It is very common for a Samsung drive to not eject. It’s a very simple fix for this!

1. Power on your Xbox 360
2. Press the eject button
3. When the Xbox 360 “tries” to eject, just simply push in on the tray cover.

That should make it eject!

If it does not, please follow the guide for the other drives below:

This requires you to disassemble your Xbox 360. IF you don’t know how, look it up on google, there are plenty of guides.

Then follow these steps:

1. Remove your Xbox 360 DVD drive from the Xbox 360
2. Turn over and remove the four screws securing the drive (6 screws if it’s a Hitachi)
3. Remove the top cover of the DVD drive.
4. Put the drive back in the Xbox 360, connect the wires, and power on your Xbox 360.
5. Once the 360 powers on, eject the drive. Most of the time it should eject normally. If it doesn’t you may have to force it.
6. Unplug the Xbox 360. If you turn it off with the power button the tray will close first, we need it open.
7. Near the front of the drive, you should now be able to see and access a small rubber band that was hidden by the tray.
8. Remove the band, lubricate and replace.
9. Replace the top cover and hook up and test.
10. If that doesn’t work, you may need a new rubber band. If you can get one of the right size, replace and test.

My Xbox 360 won't show up on my tv screen

This problem is common and is usually fixed the same way that RROD is fixed by doing an Xclamp fix. If it is not just a cabling issue than that is what the problem is.

It's not the TV Chord, it's the 360

It is an internal error. Most likely the gpu. I hear Microsoft extended there warranty for certain problems including the rrod or the e74 error. I believe this a precursor for one of those errors. So you should try your luck with Microsoft, they'll probably do it for free. if not i'd recommend you save up for another. 360s are pretty cheap now days, and coupled with the reasonable prices broken 360s go for on ebay. You could get a working one with little damage to your wallet. Also if you want to fix it just google it you should get plenty of repair services. Make sure you go with a reputable place/person.

P.S. You should give the 360 ventilation room(room around the 360 so it breaths in cool air not the air it blows out) since this problem was caused from long periods of heat in the xbox. Mabye buy an intercooler.

XBOX

A. You have the wrong inputs on your audio and video, do you know anyone who may've tampered with that? IE older brother, dad, etc.

B. Your 360 has the dark screen malfunction, but if that was the case, you should be able to hear audio.

Xbox 360 doesn't read the T.V

It sound like E74 Hana chip error very common, you could try fix it yourself, there are tutorials on the internet to fix the problem but you'll have to open your xbox and that would void the warranty.
the xbox sometimes doesn't show the red lights because the chip is not totally fried, so with the proper handle you could fix it.
If you do want to fix it by yourself here is a link showing how to do that.

Xbox 360 games

and if you do try to fix it yourself, or you've voided the warranty ( by already opening it) make sure you DON"T do the " towel Fix " it will only make things worse. you need to do an X Clamp repair. It's simple. I had no experiance whatsoever.with electronics. and I was able to figure it out the first time I tried it. I did it three weeks ago and my X box is quieter than ever and it works fine. so serach on you tube " X Box 360 X clamp fix " and you should see what you need to fix your problem.
