Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR2 V8 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Screen broken therefore I cannot access stored contacts

I have a Motorola V8 flip phone where the screen half has broken away from it's keypad base - i.e. it has broken in half and the screen no longer works
Although the phone will still power up I cannot see any of my contacts that have been stored to the phone memory
I was hoping that I could link the base via USB to my laptop and somehow access the lost telephone numbers?

My inside screen on my motorolla v3 went upside down how do i flip it back?

the screen did not flip as a result of some option on the phone, is is due tothe flex of the phone.

the flex is the mechanism that connects the screen to the keypad. it divides the screen from the phone.

replace the flex and the phone willbe in goodshape again.

take care

Inside screen when black and the outside sreen was still working then it went black my phone still works like normal just the screens are black and i cant see anything

there is nothing wrong with your screen, the problem is from the flex that connects your screen to the phone's main board. This flex must have worn out that's why your screen is not displaying.

The problem is common with flip and slide phones. The flex gets worn out as a result of constant opening and close of the flip or slide phone.

I would urge you to replace the flex and I am assuring you that your screen will display again. You might also be lucky to find out that the flex is not well fix, that is, it may have loosed contact.

If you cannot change the flex yourself, maybe you should take the phone to a local repairer within your vicinity, so that the flex can be fixed/replaced.

Good luck.

Purchased in sept 2009 and screen went blank in oct 09.they replaced it and now its doing the same thing

can you still receive calls even when the screen is blank?

I don't think the screen is the problem of your phone, but a flex problem. This blank screen issue is a common problem with slide and flip phones.

This occurs as a result of constant opening and close of flip or slide phones which makes the flex to worn out.

The flex is the one that connects the screen to the phone main board, and once this flex is weak/worn out or loose contact, there won't be any display on the screen.

Therefore check the phone flex and not the screen. Screen doesn't just get spoilt, except it hits the ground or something.

Take care.

Screen won't come on

the most often problem with flip top phones are the strip connectors connecting the screen and keypads...if you can open the unit yourself (but i recommend you to let experts do it) you can clean and access the strips (it is the plastic laminated strip metals mostly colored orange) just be careful not to tear the can clean it by using a blunt object...scratch both ends of the strips removing any non metal objects on it.....
