Question about Dishwashers

1 Answer

I found a tall part of the dishwasher laying in the basket ... but I can't figure out where it belongs in the machine. It's about 6 inches long. Is it attached at the top? The bottom? Whirlpool Silent Partner 1

SOURCE: Water pooling up in bottom of dishwasher

is there any way to run the cycle from the beginning and listen to hear if the machine is draining at all when the cycle starts do you hear the water spraying on the inside ? if not then you have several different possibilities....clogged drain line, pump impeller broken(sounds like running but no action), water just flowing back to washer the last one's an easy fix just loop the excess drain hose up like a reverse "p" trap on a kitchen sink drain this keeps the water from flowing back to the machine

SOURCE: ran on normal cycle when done 2 inches of water on bottom

Test by restarting the cycle and see if water drains if it does not then there is either a blockege in the pipe ,pump,or in the machine where the water passes out normally through a filter if you have checked and cleaned out filter and drain pipe and there is still no draining then listen to the pump if you can hear a humming niose then there is something in the pump itself and you need to take it out and inspect the impelar houseing remove what ever is there put back and enjoy if there is no noise and pump is clean then it is proberly fualty and nedd replaceing.

SOURCE: There was a plastic dishwasher part lying loose in

Probably the holder for the bottome rotating spray arm. Mine just broke off this morning too. Trying to locate parts supplier that isn't in the states and has a picture of the part. Don't want to replace the whole assembly which would be costly.

SOURCE: whirlpool du1055xtsq 3 not cleaning top rack of

In my experience, you probably have a clog in the spray arm/arms for the top rack. Take the arm(s) out and see if the holes in them are clogged. Rice, plastic wrappers, and glass from dishes that broke in there are the most common culprits I've seen.

What are the dimensions on a Kenmore 363.14192992 dishwasher?

Dishwashers that are installed into standard kitchen cabinets have a standard width and depth of 60 cm (Europe) or 24 inches (US), and most dishwashers must be installed into a hole a minimum of 86 cm (Europe) or 34 inches (US) tall. Portable dishwashers exist in 45 and 60 cm (Europe) 18 and 24 inch (US) widths, with casters and attached countertops. Dishwashers may come in standard or tall tub designs; standard tub dishwashers have a service kickplate beneath the dishwasher door that allows for simpler maintenance and installation, but tall tub dishwashers have approximately 20% more capacity and better sound dampening from having a continuous front door.

DISHWASHER DOES NOT CIRCULATE WATER

It means the spray arm is not moving correctly. Or there is something blocking it. Make sure you don't load tall glass, large plate or cutting boards. There is no waste basket in a dishwasher, only mesh filters. Unfortuantely, all debris ends up in the motor/pump assy. They do have something called a macerator, which breaks-up large food particles. If this macerator is clogged, you will have to replace it.

How can I alter the height of the basket

I don't know which type of dishwasher you have and most dishwasher basket or carriage is in a set position. The only height changing feature I know is the top shelf with the right and left side grill that can be lifted to accommodate tall mugs or glassware. Good Luck

Seems some small plastic parts are inside the drainage area making noise. Dishwasher reads SE error code.

Check the upper basket mounts. I've noticed mine has been losing tabs. I've got an order in to get this fixed. Also had a part break in the back of the dishwasher that acts as a guide for the upper basket, it's part of the spray assembly. Hope this helps

I need to know what parts are missing to my 9090 espresso pot . It has the top and bottom sections, the pressure valve and the funnel basket but no washer. is there anything else I need to make it...

The 9090/6 designates the 6-cup (30cl) model. In metric it is designated as 20.5cm (~8") high by 12.5cm (~5") in diameter. The washer holds a metal strainer disk (which you may be missing) to the underside of the top piece. You can buy washers--and maybe strainer disks--from Alessi stores. Check the Store tab on www dot alessi dot com.

I have a dishwasher that seems like it wont fill, there is no kink in the pipe and Ive checked the filters they are not blocked?

Take out lower dish rack, look for float switch, usually a plastic cover about 1 1/2 to 2 inch diameter, 2-3 inch tall. move float up and down gently to check movement, use old toothbrush to clean around.
If this doesn't work, you may have to flush the inlet line where the hot water comes into machine.(Mineral debis) Inlet valve/soliniod may be defective. When tested with Ohmmeter, and no resistance is found, unit is defective, replace valve. I hope this helps.
