Starter pins came off

More or less, check your rings... sounds to me as if your rings are going...

Fire will also come from exhaust if too much starter fluid is sprayed..

Use carburetor cleaner instead

On assuming its fitted with a victa 2 stroke engine in which case unscrew the 3 cross head screws on the top plastic cover and remove it. You should then see the top of the engine and the recoil starter. Undo and remove the 3 bolts holding the starter to the engine. Remove the starter housing gently as there will be a large o ring under the stater. Once the starter is off you can undo the centre bolt and remove the recoil pulley and spring. When refitting starter smear a little oil on the large o ring to stop it from being damaged

The starter itself may be bad. Are you getting 12 volts to the starter? Does the solenoid "click" when turning the key.

remove the 2 screws holdint the recoil starter on to get access to the spool

you need the model type and code off the engine only in order to find that part. that is also a murrey

Im not sure which engine you have but most starter bolts are at the top end of the starter and bolt right to the side of the block. You have to remove the engine shroud on top first on some engines.If you have the briggs engine that is a twin cylinder and the cylinders are opposed to each other the two bolts to remove the starter are under the flywheel,if you remove the side cover on the side of the engine the starter is on you can see the one bolt head,the other one is in farther under the flywheel and can be removed with an open end wrench,it will take some patience but it can be done.

Try to identify the loose pin on the drawings. If unable to identify where it came I suggest your visit your local Husky dealer. Please advise me where it belonged once it is repaired. TIA

the soneloid switch sends power to starter . check power on red wire on starter when key on full .if no power must be soneloid switch problem even though it clicks
