The dirty particles could be old soap dried in bottom. You could try putting white vinegar in soap dispenser and running on a pure cycle or if your does not have pure heavy cycle so it can break up the old soap. Unless you have well water and that can be caused by needing to add stuff to well for purifying the water.

Why is my washer letting water escape at drain hose when filling but stops when it starts to agitate

highly normal for top loader model washers of the old age since it is relative to the level of water being placed into the wash basket of the washer and only drains as the drain pump is being used

My front loader does not get no water in it

Hello - Washer not filling with water can be caused by many reasons. Most common cause is a faulty switch that doesn't allow the value inside turn or a kinked fill hose. Other possibilities can be water valve faults, faulty control board, pressure switch or wiring failure. Are the house valves turn on fully? Contact a professional to move forward accurately?

Ytek.netwe just moved into a house with a duet washing machine- a few years old. when we do a normal clean cycle, it doesnt appear there is that much water getting used. How much water should we see thru...

All front loaders use very little water as a opposed to a top loader that uses up to 45 gallons per load a front loader uses about 10,plus a front loader cleans clothes very well with that minimal water usage.
The major question is do the clothes seem to come out clean when you have used that washer?

Hiw many gallons of water with 2 rinses does a top

Your washer takes 35 gallons to wash and 35 gallons to rinse. Ask me how I know? Well I work on them but last December my washer (which is the same as yours) developed a problem with the cold water inlet valve. My inlaws and daughter and friends all come by at different times to use paws paws washer. They pass 50 laundry mats to come to my house. Just for fun I told my wife to get a 5 gallon bucket and fill the washer up. It takes 7 buckets to fill the washer up and get it to start washing. Later she decided to run a water hose out to the washer and fill it up. Then my mother in law suggested she put the washer on rinse and fill the tub. That told me I had a timer problem. But luckily I have 2 or 3 washers around the house I can get parts off of. So to recap: 70 gallons of water to wash a full load of clothes is what I guesstamate it took. Did that slow down my inlaws? Nope.

My washing machine has had a high-pitched noise when it fills with cold water ever since we moved to a new house. This doesn't happen when it is filling with hot (or even warm) water. We've tried turning...

Are you sure you have the hot pipe on the hot inlet and the cold on the cold inlet ie red to red black to black (easily done), please check carefully. if OK then I think you have picked up some dirt in the inlet filter and this will need to be removed and cleaned, remove lid and follow pipes inside to plastic tank at top near drawer, filter housing can be seen there.

Ge top loader washer agitator does not work

To check the agitator. Start the washer into wash cycle. Once started Push down on top of agitator. If it catches some times or all of the time when pushing down, then then doggets are worn, under the agitator. You`ll have to remove the agitator to see these. If by pushing down on the agitator, nothing changes, Then you probably have a transmition problem. Check this and let me know what you find.
