Do the other buttons work on the panel? If not you might want to check and make sure the Op Panel didn't become disconnected from the logic bd. If the other keys work and you can send a print job to the unit then you have a bad panel.

If a panel is needed or a logic bd. I have both in stock.

Please give me a call.

Thanks

Only goes in reverse

Lube might not be necessary. Unplug the shredder from the outlet. Lift it off the shredded paper bin and turn it over. It is very possible that you have a jam. If this is the case, remove as much paper as you can making sure that you don't use anything that could do damage to the cutter'shredder blades. Once you have removed as much paper as possible, place the shredder back on the bin making sure that it is aligned properly. One way of making sure is to check for any space between the shredder and bin. If you do have space make sure that you replaced the shredder correctly on the bin; you may have to turn it around 180 degrees. When you get the shredder properly aligned, use the switch (DO NOT USE PAPER AT THIS TIME) to switch the shredder from Forward (shredding) to Reverse. You may have to do this a couple of times so be patient. At this point the shredder should be working in both directions. If so, move the switch to Auto or the center position and try a SINGLE sheet of paper. If it shreds that piece of paper, then you have fixed it. Be sure not to insert more paper than the shredder is rated for. Also, unless it specifically states that it can handle staples, credit cards, etc. do NOT let any of these items run through your shredder.
If none of the above works, buy a new one - :)

We had a power failure and now our Lexmark 2391 dot matrix printer will not print from the top of the page. i need to know how to setup/reconfigure the top of the page? thank you

  1. Push the ALT button and then the PARK LOAD button to back the paper out.
  2. Push the PARK LOAD button to reload the paper. The Ready light should now be blinking.
  3. Use the MICRO up or down buttons to adjust as needed, making sure that the top of form is set on the very first page that enters the printer. Typically, the top edge of the first sheet of paper should be even with the ribbon.
  4. When the page is lined up properly, press the START/STOP button. The printer will record the current position as the top of form and then feed paper to the tear off position.
  5. Use the MICRO up and down buttons to place the top of the paper at the tear off bar.
  6. After the tear off is positioned properly, press the START/STOP button twice to save the tear off position.
  7. Test the positions with a sample print job. If the alignment is still off, follow this entire procedure from the beginning again as needed.

Blue light comes on.it will run in reverse but not foreward

Try to reset the shredder.---- Toggle the On/Off switch at the back few times times. Then see if it gets reset.-------- Toggling it on and off to reset the shredder. Make sure to pull out the paper bin while you toggle the power switch on and off a dozen or so times and then put the basket paper bin back in place. When you power the unit back on the forward button should work again and the shredder should feed paper through properly.------ Another procedure is Using the power switch in the back, power on with the blue button and keep press forward till it worked. ------- Turning the off/on switch multiple times mostly helps. ------ This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Paper Bail Load lever advances paper all the way out of machine. How do I change this? dianna

With the machine on pull the paper bail forward, let it run until it quits, then use the paper down button and run the paper back 20 lines or so, hold the code button and pull the paper insert forward. That re-sets the stopping place, keep doing this until you get the paper insert to stop where you want it.

Test page printing at the time of printer powered on

s.gif Solution minimtop.gif The product aligns the print cartridges every time that print cartridges are installed or replaced to ensure the highest-quality prints. The alignment page will continue to print every time that the product is turned on or off until the alignment process is completed. NOTE: If you remove and install the same print cartridge, the unit will NOT align the print cartridges. The unit remembers the alignment values for that print cartridge, so you do not need to realign the print cartridges. Follow the steps below, in the order presented, to correctly complete a print cartridge alignment. s.gif Step one: Remove the print cartridges minimtop.gif
  1. If the On/Resume button is not lit, press the On/Resume button to turn the product on. Figure 1: Press the On/Resume button to turn the product on c00316907.gif
  2. Make sure the paper tray is down and there is letter or A4 unused plain white paper loaded in the paper tray.
  3. Lower the access door until it stops. Figure 2: Lower the access door c00316908.gif Make sure the print carriage moves to the center. Figure 3: Print carriage in the center of the printer c00316909.gif
  4. Wait until the print carriage is idle and silent, and then, using your thumb, lightly press down on a print cartridge to release it. Figure 4: The print carriage c00316910.gif
    • If replacing the tri-color print cartridge, remove the print cartridge from the slot on the left.
    • If replacing the black print cartridge, remove the print cartridge from the slot on the right.
Figure 5: The print cartridges in the proper position c00316912.gif 1 - Tri-color print cartridge 2 - Black print cartridge
  5. Pull the print cartridge toward you out of its slot.
s.gif Step two: Install the new print cartridge minimtop.gif
  1. Remove the new print cartridge from its packaging and, being careful to touch only the black plastic, gently remove the plastic tape by using the pink pull tab. Figure 6: Remove the tape c00312625.gif 1 - Copper-colored contacts 2 - Plastic tape with pink pull tab (must be removed before installing) 3 - Ink nozzles under tape CAUTION: Do not touch the copper-colored contacts or ink nozzles. 2. Slide the new print cartridge forward at a slight upward angle into the empty slot. Using your index finger, push the print cartridge forward until it clicks into place. Figure 7: Insert the print cartridge c00316911.gif
  3. Close the access door.
s.gif Step three: Align the print cartridges minimtop.gif If you are installing a new print cartridge, the product begins to print a print cartridge alignment sheet. This may take a few minutes.
  1. Lift the lid of the product.
  2. Place the top of alignment page face down in the left front corner of the glass. Figure 8: Place the alignment page face down c00316913.gif
  3. Close the lid.
  4. Press the Scan button.
  5. The On/Resume light will blink during the alignment process.
