After self clean cylce the LOCK indicator remains in the dispolay and BAKE function will not work. door flashes in display when BAKE is pressed.

Hello. It sounds like the door switch is shorted and telling the main board that the door is still locked. This will prevent the oven from functioning properly. The door switch part number is 74009591. The manual door lock assembly is 74009764. The part number for the main oven control board is 74009777.

Bake function not working

This problem could be caused by a number of things. The first place to check would be the fuse or breaker panel inside your home, also if your stove has any fuses on the top panel you may want to look at those as well. The next possible problem could be coming from the selector switch that selects bake or broil. However not all oven have this, and is controlled by a oven thermostat, this could also be the problem if the baking is taking too long or burning food. Of course the next possible problem could be that the bake element itself is faulty and will have to be replaced. You can test the element yourself by unpluging the unit and then simply put a volt meter on OHMS and test for continuety or resistance within the element connections. This will tell you whether or not you will require a technician for further diagnoses.Hope this helps

Thanks.

My upper oven/ convection function on my dacor ecs230b will not heat

Bake and convection bake settings both use the bottom bake element to heat. It would be unusual for bake to work without conv. bake working. You also have pure convection which uses a different element surrounding the conv. fan on the back of the unit. If you press a feature and nothing happens it's the touch pad. If it comes on then turns back off it's probably the ERC (clock). If it comes on and wont heat only in pure conv. possibly an upper relay board or element problem.

F9 error code while using the convection baking function

This is a lock switch error code. Check wiring to door lock switch (the wire harness may be connected wrong). Check for stuck lock switch. If the switch cannot be re adjusted, it must be replaced.

Oven Not Working

It could be the element, but if neither the top or bottom element are coming on, it could be an issue with the electronics... Have you tried any of the other oven functions? Is it a convection oven? Maybe try using the convection bake or roast/convection roast functions..(roast function doesn't go through a pre-heat cycle, I have the same stove). If it's still under warranty, I would be calling for service.

Whirlpool oven issue

Usually, when an oven won't bake, it's because the bake element is burned out. The bake element is the black, pencil- thick tube at the bottom of the oven. When the oven heats, the element glows red. This element has an expected life-span of several years. It may last for only one; it may last for many more. When the element burns out, you need to replace it.

Double oven / convection not working

It is likely that the convection element is burned out and needs to be replaced. If all other functions are working then this is the place to start. Teh back panel inside of the oven can be removed by removing the 4 visible philips screws on it. The element should look smooth and round, if not then it needs to be replaced. Be sure to turn power off to the oven before replacing it. Remove the screws that fasten the element to the back wall and gently pull the element away from the wall an inch or so. the wires will be exposed and can be unclipped from the element do not let them fall inside of the back of the oven or you will have to remove the oven from the wall to get at the back panel. Install the new element in the reverse procedure. If the element looks good then it will have to be tested with a multimeter to verify that it is still good before proceeding to check the selector switch for burn marks.
