Question about Acer AL1912 19" LCD Monitor

Acer al1912 with S3inc trio 32/64 card

Have a computer with a S3 trio card in it. The drivers are located in the system dir and the control panel finds it under devices. When connected, the AL1912 monitor displays 'Input not supported' and nothing else. When connecting a CRT or reconnecting a crt, everything works.

Does the S3trio 32/64 card support the Al1912?

Start with a 1024x788 60hz refresh , connect lcd
and then try any higher freq/refresh as it will ask you to verify.

How can I connect my Fujitsu Siemens key board with my Acer AL1912 monitor? There is a connect button on the key board, but where is the connect button on the Acer?

Is it a wireless keyboard? If that is the case, then you should have a receiver unit attached to the PC, usually to a USB port. The ACER is justt a monitor, here is the user manual:

I have a AL1912 LCD monitor but it does not have sound, do I need to purchase speakers?

You don't need external speakers with this model, what you need is check that your audio cable is connected to the "LINE OUT" jack on your pc's audio card. And the other end to the monitor's "LINE IN" jack
You can chek volume and other audio settings here: Start --> Control Panel --> Sounds and Audio Device properties
Under "Voice" menu you can test if your sound card and drivers work properly. Let me know what you find out...

Any Drivers for ACER AL1912

With very few exceptions, LCD monitors do not require a driver. Almost always, and display setting issue is an issue with the Display adapter (Video Card) driver. The plug and Play monitor driver that is native to Windows should work just fine.

My acer AL1912 monitor keeps going fuzzy. It kind

An unusual problem for a flat screen monitor.
I suggest you connect the monitor to another PC to see if the problem persists since it could also be caused by the video card (or circuit, if on board).
Check your cables making sure they are solidly connected and wiggle them to see if you can cause the problem to come or go away; this would crudely check the shielding of them.
This kind of aberration could easily happen with a conventional CRT monitor if power supply filtering was failing but as mentioned, uncommon in a monitor that is essentially digital.

Can not config the size

if the screen is big, try to change the screen resolution, or install the video driver from the manufacturer drivers disk that you would have,,,

refer to help and support in your computer for guidance on how to reduce the screen resolution,,,

click on start >>>> help and support, then on the search box type how to change the screen resolution
2. how to install the video driver
you will have step by step instructions, and you could get it resolved,

follow those steps clearly

It might be worth a try but the two different sizes could have differing resolutions and if they do, the boards are not likely interchangeable.

Acer Al1912 monitor

You can try adjusting your color and tint on your monitor and also adjust the resolution with your computer. To make sure it is not a problem with your video card, take and use a known good monitor (borrow one from a friend, family member, co-worker, etc) and connect it to your computer system. If the system boots up fine and there is no problems, then your monitor is going bad and you will need to replace it, because it is not worth fixing financially. If you plug it to a known good monitor and it is still doing the same thing, then your video card is bad and you will need to replace that. You can see the symptoms and this same procedure in my profile under tips. I hope this helps and please let me know if you need further assistance.

If you would not mind please rate my help, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Re: Blank Monitor

Ok, give this a go.
Start the computer in safe mode as per last time.
This time go into the system properties.
Start - Control Panel - System
Select Device Manager
Find the Display Controllers
Uninstall the card
Restart the computer.

Failing this, download the drivers from the website that your motherboard is from. (If you give me a model number I should be able to loacte it) or goto thew S3 site and get them directly from there.
Start up in safe mode again, install those drivers. and restart.
If you can't find a way to transfer the drivers from the PC you are on to the PC that is not playing nice, then start it up using Safe Mode with Network Support.
