Question about Brother IntelliFAX 4100 Laser Fax
When copying a document in one of my Brother IntelliFAX 2800 machines, the copy has horizontal lines across it. The darkest lines are about 95 cm apart, but the lighter ones are about 35 cm below the darker ones. It seems to get progressively worse on each copy. I believe this problem started after removing the drum and placing it in another 2800 machine that was having problems. My other 2800 machine, which was having a print image problem when I tried to swap drum units between, has toner specks around all of the text on the copied pages as well as some lines about 95 cm apart. I have reviewed the service manual and cannot find a solution. Please help!
Only known causes are a dirty corona wire or a dirty/bad drum. If you know the drum is good, a thorough cleaning of the drum and cleaning the corona wire should clear up your printing.
