The tv turn on now have power and LED power light indicator is on and solid green?Yes,than it is the main Tuner signal board had a short some where and it is the problems and the causes.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish Tuner signal board for the replacement.
If your TV makes ANY noise at all while trying to power up(turn on) then your A/C FUSE IS GOOD.
Relay makes a clicking niose when TV is turned on.
Any led that lights up while trying to power up set>>A/C fuse will be good!!!
Your convergence board is faulty. Common problem for this model. Pull the back cover off and look to the north and look for a jumper jack [1516 i beleive] and pull this off. [TV unplugged of course] Now plug in the tv and power up...If the picture is distorted you have bad convergence ICs. If picture is good...you may a bad audio IC. You can do this, just be dang careful and good luck to you!
I have a Westinghouse Mod. SK-19H210s that is 16 months old. It would not turn on. Upon investigationg the problem I discovered bad capacitors on the power board. (2200uf and 1000uf). I replaced the components and the TV works great, you can purchase a new power board.
First your tv will always go into "Standby" when it receives a "Power off" signal. Made that way. Second, It is never a good thing to have your tv power plugged into a "Switched" outlet on a Cable ot Sat box or some other Component. The tv should be always be plugged into the wall outlet or through a very good surge protector.
Check the "Sleep Timer" settings. If set to 45 minutes then TV would automatically turn itself off 45 minutes from being turned on. The variance in the "on" times is due to the TV turning itself off after not getting a signal from the remote for fifteen minutes.
Nope sorry my friend the timer does not have a function to no let the TV set turn on, It only hhas a function to turn off the set. You have another problem with the TV set I bet you 100% Sometimes someone will use the timer funtion to have the TV set turn off and then at turn off or even turn on a componet fails and goes bad. there is no way a TV timer will prevent the TV set from turning on. there is most likly a problem in the TV sets power supply or the sweep power supply. Have it checked out by a pro and they will tell you the same thing. Good guess though, but it does not simply work that way, Sorry. Good Luck
