No sound from speaker but through ear piece I get sound.

Many devices will automatically switch off the large speaker when ear phones are plugged into them. Also there may be a switch or button or prompt on your radio to switch between regular speaker and ear phone jack. Look for that first.
Try connecting and disconnection ear phones while listening to a station and see if the problem is intermittent. If is works sometimes but not every time then it is most likely an internal connection.
You will have to access the inside of the radio to investigate further. Connect a working external music or sound source with speaker wire to the terminals inside the radio that connect to the radio's speaker. If the radio's speaker works with the external sound source then you know it is a bad connection inside your radio. If the radio's speaker does not work with the external sound source then it is most likely a faulty radio speaker. Look closely for a broken solder point or broken/disconnected wire.

I have the same problem. The first one that I bought last 1 year. I bought another one and the same problem has appeared today. I think this is because they are assembled in China. Cheap and low quality manufacturer that is sold at very high prices.

You might have a bad connection on the wiring terminal inside the left speaker where the left and right join the main cable. Here is a link:http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1045725/how_to_solder_how_to_repair_headphones/

Flip up ear speaker stopped working

Sounds like the ear piece connection between the two halves of the phone has been broken. Your "speaker phone" function should still work because the sound comes from the back of the main body of the phone. To the best of my knowledge, this can't be fixed. You will need a new phone. I hope this helps.

Please help

it sound like the ear socket has developed an intermittant connection problem. It could just have a dry joint where it needs to be resoldered, however, if you dont have the correct tools to fix tghe unit it might be best to leave it in to a repair shop.

Good Luck!
