Won't recognize disk

sir,
DVD cameras should keep in clean atmosphere, the dust and dirt are the enemy of this kind of cameras. first of all the disk used must be clean, if not the laser cannot write on the disk and previously recorded programs will not read, in this condition the cameras screen will show "no disk". if there dust and dirt on the lens, that also will get the same result, lens cleaner disk is widely available so it is safe to clean with it, if you don't have it, you can clean the lens with a soft tissue paper, then use a hand blower to fly away the dust from the lens.you must be very careful to do this, don't give excess pressure on the lens, and the disk also clean with a little damp tissue paper or optical cleaner cloth, after all if the problem persists there may be laser lens unit is weak or some problems in the related circuitry, if so you have to open the camera totally, then laser intensity of lens must be tested with an oscilloscope. if you recognize that the lens pickup is faulty, then you carefully replace with a same model. in some rare cases the circuits also play a roll in this way, if so you may refer the respective service manual.

Maintenance for cd/dvd players

To make cd/dvd players live longer you have to clean the lens that is inside the player. You can do this monthly or once in 2 months. To clean the lens you need a lens cleaner which is like a cd with a brush on it. You can just put it in and play it, it will clean the dirt from the lens. You can buy it easily from any store or online and its very cheap. Also try to wipe the dirt off all the cds that you put in so your lens doesn't get dirty. Thank you, I hope this helps.

Sony ps3 won't load,start,read disc

Clean with Compressed Air

One way to clean your PS3's internal laser is to use a can of compressed air. This is highly pressurized air contained in a can with a thin nozzle on the end. It is designed to get dust and dirt out of small spaces. Cans of compressed air can be purchased at any major electronics retailer, such as Best Buy or Radio Shack. Point the can's nozzle toward the PS3's disc tray and lightly spray for a few seconds to remove loose dust from the lens.

Use a Laser Lens Cleaner Kit

Also available are laser lens cleaning kits that work with the PlayStation 3. These kits contain a disc that is inserted in the PS3 the same way you would a video game or movie. The difference is that there is no data on the disc; it is designed specifically to spin in such a way that it gently cleans that PS3's laser lens, removing all dust, dirt and smudges in the process. These kits will also work on DVD, Blu-Ray and computer disc drives, in addition to the PS3.

Maintain the Discs

One way to make sure your PS3 laser stays clean is to keep track of the discs themselves. Examine a disc before you put it into your PS3's disc tray. If there is any dust or dirt use a dry, soft cloth to gently remove them before play. Dust and dirt are easily transmitted to the PS3's laser lens as the disc spins around at high speeds in the tray. By keeping the discs clean, you can make sure you don't have to go out and spend extra money on cleaning your PS3 laser lens in the first place.

Dirt under lens

If this is a separate piece that is screwed onto the lens, then you may be able to remove it and carefully remove the material and replace the lens cover.

When i open up the camera app. i see black specs all over the screen, it looks like dirt in there or something. Is there a way to clean it?

Three possibilities..
1. Dirt on the outside of the lens. Clean it with a lens cloth.
2. Something got inside the lens somehow. Do not take it apart yourself. Have a proffesional clean it.
3. The LCD screen is bad.

I just bought the canon rebel xs and every picture that I take has a black spot "burned" into the picture. Any suggestions as to what I should do? Or should I just return the camera?

Sounds as if there is a fleck of dirt on the rear lens element. While in the house (to minimize dust and dirt) remove the lens and look at the rear of the lens see if there is dirt there. If so clean it gently with a soft lens cloth not a facial tissue. Reinstall the lens, if the dirt is still in the same spot return the camera because I suspect the dirt is on the sensor and will need to be cleaned.

There is dust inside the lens. how do I clean the dust from inside the lens?

Your projector needs little maintenance. The only thing you need to do on a regular basis is

to keep the lens clean.

Never remove any parts of the projector except the lamp. Contact your dealer if other parts

need replacing.

Cleaning the lens

Clean the lens whenever you notice dirt or dust on the surface.

• Use a canister of compressed air to remove dust.

• If there is dirt or smears, use lens-cleaning paper or moisten a soft cloth with lens cleaner

and gently wipe the lens surface.

Never rub the lens with abrasive materials.

Dirt on the inside of the front lense

Hello, I very much doubt that a small piece of dirt on the lens is a problem. It is more likely that your sensor needs to be cleaned. Sensor dirt is more visible at small (f11 to f32) apertures. I expect that you are shooting bright snow with a small aperture & this is why you are seeing the problem. To check, try the following.
Set camera to Av, ISO 100.
take some photos of the sky, a blank wall, or some other featureless surface, as follows:
1 - Set aperture to highest possible f - number.
2 - set aperture to lowest f-number.
3 - repeat 1 with a different lens
4 - repeat 2 with a different lens.

I expect that you will see photo 1 and photo 3 will have identical smudges of dirt on them. Photos 2 and 4 should have no smudges. If this is the case, your problem is dirt on the camera sensor. The only way to fix it is to clean your sensor.
