Poor Overrun on Taylor 162-12

You cannot change the overrun on a Taylor 162. Once you've properly primed the machine and installed the feed tubes, the viscosity or how firm the product is.

I do not know of any soft serve machine that will give you an 80% overrun. You can adjust the overrun on a Taylor pressurized machine like the 8756 or the C712, but I believe the limit is somewhere around 40%.

You can email me tex@softserveparts.com or call 1-800-879-7839 if I can answer anymore questions for you.

Tip

How do I keep squirrels from eating my sunflowers?

Give the squirrels another source of feed/seeds.

1.Give the squirrels their own feed away from the location to which you will be growing the sunflowers.

2.Do this before growing the sunflowers. This will get the squirrels in a pattern and to a location away from your sunflowers.

3.Keep the squirrel food container (s) full at all times. If thesquirrels are full they will not have reason to eat the sunflower seeds.

Squirrels would rather eat peanuts, seeds, oats, breads, and/or what ever you want to give them over your sunflower seeds.

** To get the old squirrels away from a location they occupy now, is to train them away from it.**

Gradually move their food source away from any location they go to now.

Once you have them following the food, keep moving it until the foodsourced is in a location you would prefer the squirrels to go to forfood, rather than the squirrels eating your sunflowers....

Good Luck!

When a squirrel is removed from the yard will it make its way back?

That depends on how far you take it away and if there is anything else more appealing. The squirrel will go to where it feels most comfortable. If your yard is the most comfortable and appealing environment, then, yes, it will come back. If you put it in a forest 2 miles away, it probably won't be back.

Hood insulation

It's called a liner. It's purpose is to protect the paint on your hood from the engine heat. If it's a small area you are ok. If you need to replace it you can usually find them at the junk yard. Just don't lose the clips that hold it in place

BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR

Local salvage yard would be an ideal place to get another one. After you change it, remove the blower motor and reach up into the cavity that feeds it air on the upper left.

You may want to wear a glove. The design on this generation Rodeo is horribly flawed. I pulled a squirrel-sized wad of rotten leaves and pine needles from mine after replacing the motor and resistor twice.

Like drinking a milkshake through a coffee stirrer, you know that's bad for a motor.

Squirrel ate some wires and vaccum lines...will not crank

Darn squirrels, the did that to my Ranger in my back yard a few years back.

If it was the same one, he only broke them, didn't really eat them and if you get you some good wire connectors, you can crimp them back together without much problem. (the wires)

The vacuum hoses if there is enough to connect can be repaired with just splicers available at the local auto parts stores, along with any additional hose or wiring you need to replace.

I prefer to solder all of my connectors by removing the plastic they come with & then shrink wrap them once securely soldered, that way the won't ever lose their connection or require additional amperage to draw through.

The wires should match up pretty easily, due to color coding but you may want to just do a double check if you have more than one of the same color. A digitall Multimeter helps and prevents damage to electrical components when searching for voltage values.

good luck

1998 Dodge Ram 1500 Squirrel chewed through wires...

I bet that squirrel won't need any laxitaves for awhile. You are going to end up match and soldering, or just taping like color wires no mater what venue you take. The salvage yard is your best bet. Are you reffering to the area where the three relays are mounted?

Changing the starter

INSPECT OVERRUNNING CLUTCH 1. Slide the overrunning clutch along the shaft. Replace it if does not slide smoothly. 2. Rotate the overrunning clutch (A) both ways. Does it lock in one direction and rotate smoothly in reverse? If it does not lock in either direction or it locks in both directions, replace it. 299a793.gif 3. If the starter driver gear (B) is worn or damaged, replace the overrunning clutch assembly: the gear is not available separately. Check the condition of the flywheel or torque converter ring gear if the starter drive gear teeth are damaged.
CLEANING 1. Do not immerse parts in cleaning solvent. Immersing the yoke assembly and/or armature will damage the insulation. Wipe these parts with a cloth only. 2. Do not immerse the drive unit in cleaning solvent. The overrun clutch is pre-lubricated at the factory and solvent will wash lubrication from the clutch. 3. The drive unit may be cleaned with a brush moistened with cleaning solvent and wiped dry with a cloth. findme(''); findme(''); findme(''); 7d082d0.gif
