SOURCE: Mac new wireless keyboard. the CD door open/eject button not working

macs usually have a force out button if you have a cd stuck, and also it could be a hang up in the mechanism. Old macs usually had a pin hole you could put a bent paper clip in, and the newer versions may need the front face pulled to get it open. When you try to eject do you hear it try to move?

SOURCE: Virtual PC 7

What type of Mac is it? PowerPC G4, Laptop, etc? You can copy the files from the Mac partition to the mounted Virtual PC volume and have the XP side find the new files. It is duplication but it is the only way I have found to work without causing other problems.

SOURCE: can't reinstall onto mac desktop because rom is failling to open and passwod protected

If your computer is beige, has a SCSI interface and does not have USB ports don't waste your time. It will never do what you want it to. Don't throw your money at something that is basically obsolete. Invest that money in something newer. G4's and Emac's can be purchased cheap ($20 or $30) on eBay.

SOURCE: Just Grandma and Me CD I bought I can't run on Mac 10.5.6

Hi, Sorry to hear you are having trouble...
So listen, when a box says Mac System 7.0.1 or higher, it'll probably work on any system up to 8.6 without hitch.... but not much more than that..
I hope you did not pay much for this CD cause it's at least 16 years old.
Unfortunately it won't run on modern machine today. Try contacting the manufacturer to see if they have a newer version of the game.

Did system repair, black screen, F8 safe mode doesn't work, D drive won't open

You said Safe Mode wopnt boot and you have a black screen, but that the D drive won't open? Do you mean the CD /DVD Rom drive won't open or the D drive in My Computer (Computer in Windows Vista and higher) won't open?

Are there any error messages on the screen? One thing you can try is to install the same OS or higher over the one you have installed now. If you install Vista or higher in this manner, the Install will create a folder called WINDOWS.OLD on the C: drive that contains all of your old files.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Are you using a PC or a Mac computer?
Are you trying to install Windows XP or Vista or 7 or Mac OS X ?

Folder with blinking question mark in it after start-up

Folder with a blinking question mark means a missing system folder, in other words there isn't an OS installed. To fix this you need to boot from the OS X installer CD. With the OS X installer CD in the drive, hold down the C key on your keyboard when you start your mac. This tells the mac to boot from the optical drive (i.e. CD drive) and load the OS X installer. From there just follow the onscreen instructions to install OS X.
Also, you should be aware that the ibook is not compatible with Windows XP. Only the newer “intel macs” of the past few years are compatible with XP. Your mac predates Apple's transition to intel processors and Windows XP compatibility on the mac platform by a few years. This is why your Windows XP CD didn't load on it. The ibook is Mac OS X only.
It only runs on Mac OS X however it is compatible with newer versions of the OS. 10.2 jaguar is kind of old and a little buggy. You may want to consider installing 10.4 Tiger for improved stability and performance. Avoid the newest version (10.5 Leopard) as it is geared towards newer and faster machines.
Hope this helps. Enjoy your mac
