I would recommend you check the specs at minidisc.org for other decks with this feature.

Auto pause is nice but 300 series decks were cheaper versions and 500's are getting very old so you are unlikely find one which will perform well for a long time. Get a later model for best value and longer service...

You can also check out eBay listings since there is a lot of MD stuff there if you don't see auto pause ask the seller about it. A good seller will know his stuff...

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Sony MDS-JE 480 'Auto Pause' capability

Most of these decks will simply STOP recording after 22 seconds of no analog or 6 seconds of no digital input; I have not heard of the Auto Pause feature.

Sony TC-WR670 how to copy my old cassettes to new tape on bay B?

I can't fing my manuals either. I have the same one. I think you put the originalin one side and the blank in the other. Rewind both to starting point. Press play and pause on original. Press the red record button on the copy tape. Then press pause and press the high speed dub button. If nothing happens hit the pause button on each side. Just trying to remember. May not be right.

How to switch on autopause whithout the remote ?

If your deck has AUTO-PAUSE, just do it via the SET-UP menu. Push the appropriate buttons.

But your deck doesn't have that feature, does it.

Sometimes you can repair these type of connected strips by melting them back together or on with a soldering iron. Do it in a well ventalated room with a mask and goggles, to prevent the plastic fumes going in your eyes.
The only other way is strong superglue.
You could phone the maker if they still have the parts. But I wouldn't hold out much hope if the model is over 3 to 5 years or more old. Even then it might be cheaper to get the same model off E-Bay.
