Xerox DCCS50 to DC12, change Cobra with X12 fiery

I have a Xerox DCCS50 with cobra rip on a Mac with Leopard OS. Today I change the rip with a X12 fiery. When I connected it, the fiery communicates with the printer, and I can print all the test pages. The problem is that my Mac do not "see" it, neither in safari when i put the ip nor in printer setup at system preferences. The main problem is that in the fiery setup the appletalk is disabled, and when I change it to enable (Yes), it gives the messege "No appletalk zone found", but as I read in the manual ox X12 it mentions that if you do not have zones you can procced by just click ok and that it is not neccessery to have zones. When I save the changes and reboot the fiery, the appletalk is still disabled, and still my mac not "see" the printer. Can anyone help?

At the end of setting up network settings it should ask if you want to save settings, click yes then its enabled. i have never had a fiery that doesnt hold its settings so its probably something you arent pressing.
there is an issue with one of the mac OS's that it just doesnt like the old fiery rips and you will never be able to print, but i'm not that clued up on the mac side and cant remember, sorry.
from your add printer section it should automatically see the x12 and give you the options of a hold, print and direct queue. I f you havent got a pc then the only queues that is useful to you is direct. Print holds the job on the hard drive and will eventually fill the server

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

You need install patch "1-56CTS.ps". Try to find it via web.
Also install Fiery Downloader app. Go to File->Download and choose file "1-56CTS.ps". Then reboot a fiery and problem must go away.

There are some Mac OS drivers.I think your printer is not compatible with Mac.

The level of functionality and compatibility with the new Mac OS X 10.6 drivers are identified in the following document.

The easiest way to solve this is to use XP. Xerox did not release drivers for this machine for Vista or Windows 7.

Printing to a Xerox DC12/DCS50

you can't print via serial to it. You will have to check the settings in your rip to see what the ip address is. Lights will blink all the time to indicate it is on a network, its just not talking to it. Then you go into your add printers section click the + sign and it should come up in there if the ip address is in line with your mac ip
