Where can I find the specs for an earlier Goodman heat pump?

You say 2 to 3 years... I'm assuming the unit is older than that. Especially being r22. What about the first 10 years??? Normally you will get 400 to 500 sqft per ton of cooling, but, that depends on heat load calculations. If the unit wasn't big enough you would have had this issue 10 years ago, not when the system kept running low on refrigerant. At first guess I would say a 2 ton unit is not big enough but if it worked fine for 10 years...wuth all that in mind, if it were me, (a seasoned professional) I would spend 1800 to fix my 15 year old r22 unit before I spent $4000 on a new r410a piece of junk. Best Wishes!!

I think i over charged my ac unit 80 lowside 251 high side.big coper pipe is cold, small coper pipe is not hot. just wondering if that would have an affect on quality of air

You may have it a little overcharged but not much. It all depends on how hot it is outside. If its around 90 degrees F, the low side would be about 68 to 70 lbs. (refrig 22) If its 110 degrees F outside, you're sitting about right. Just make sure it's not sweating water from the big copper pipe onto the compressor. This would mean you have a pretty big overcharge.

How do you add freon to a mitsubishi split system

If its R22 you have to have a license to buy it. But outside unit on the larger copper line will be an access will look like a 3/8 copper fitting with a cap on it there is also one on the small line. You will need a tank of r22 and a set of gauges. If the compressor is running you add freon til the large copper line starts to sweat. The small line (high side) should not slug or have the gage on it jump this means its overful or has air contamination in it. Always add thru the larger line.good luck

How do you add coolant to a goldstar air conditioner

There are two lines leading into the unit, the high side aND THE LOW SIDE. tO ADD FREON you need to add a valve to the low side line. But if you have a leak that indicates that moisture is in the unit and you need to pull a valum to remove the moisture before ADDING ANY FREON. There are as last known three types of freon, R22, R134a and this last one I dont even know the name.

HOW TO RECHARGE SPLIT TYPE AIR CONDITIONER WITH USING r22

check cooling coil(in door unit)if there ice buil up then feel air vent if no air mean your fin block aready need to clean / air vent ok meant there have a leak .you need r22 test gauge and hose, reamer, tube cutter and flaring kit. 1)check suction pressure(big tube at out door unit) remove 2 way cap and 3 way cap valve then connect blue hose at service port 3 way valve (port locate at left or right depent on manufacturer) you will get pressure about 40-45 psi(air cond is running) then use a allen key(hexagonal wrench) to close 2 way valve(small tube or gas discharge side) wait 1-2 minute then close 3 way valve (suction tube or big tube) IMMEDIATELY SHUT OFF AIRCOND AND PLUG OUT POWER CORD (you need 2 person one at in door unit and the other at out door unit). this method is to keep remaining gas inside the compresser. Then leak check ,open 2 way valve about 90 degree hold it for 10 minute then close it .MEASURE THE PRESSURE keeep it for 5-10 minute. If the pressure indicate not same during the first time measured it meant there have a leakage, for air cond 1- 5 year the leakage will happen at the copper tubing connection and improper flaring .Then U need to clean in door and out door unit ,used a spanner or wrench to losen the copper FLARE NUT at out door unit and in door unit( inside insulation) then use pvc tape to cover all copper pipe/tube hole to prevent dirt go inside tube/pipe. Then lift up out door unit and used coil cleanner ditergent wait 5 minute then flush with water. Remove indoor front panel then disconnect out door unit cable at front panel in door unit then lift up indoor unit to disangage the hook and pull out the indoor unit, then clean the cooling coil ,cover electrical part with plastic .last step u need to cut (used cooper cutter)the copper pipe/tube FLARE NUT connection low side(big tube) and high side(small tube) in door connection and out door connection .Then u need to remove the burr from cut edge using reamer make sure metal powder not goes in Then make a flare after inserting FLARE NUT onto the copper pipes Then U can install back the unit check the low side pressure if the pressure 55-67 psi no need to charge

When charging central air unit r-22......

It sounds like you have your gages hooked up wrong. Blue goes to the Suction line (the big line) it should be cold when the units running.
Red goes to the liquid line (the little line).

Where is the Air Filter located on P3RA-036K?

NO FILTER IN A PACKAGE UNIT EVER AT ALL AT ANY TIME. YOUR FLOOR GRILL FOR RETURN AIRT IS ALWAYS YOUR ONE AND ONLY FILTER LOCATION. YOU MAY HAVE A VERY DIRTY EVAPORATOR COIL ON THE INTAKE SIDE WHICH WOULD CAUSE POOR PERFORMANCE AND POOR AIRFLOW. HAVE AN AC CO COME OUT AND REMOVE THE LID AND INSPECT OR WASH THE COIL. YOU MAY ALSO BE LOW ON R22 . HAVE IT CHECKED WITH A GAGE. AS A GENERAL RULE PRESS LESS THAN 40 POUNDS EQUAL LOW CHARGE OR DIRTY COIL. 65 TO 70 POUNDS FAIRLY NORMAL. IT NEEDS TO BE 70 TO 80 DERGEES OUTSIDE AND INSIDE TO REFLECT THESE GENERAL PRESSURES. IF LOW ON R22 THEN A LEAK HAS DEVELOPED, USUALLY IN THE EVAP COIL.. BE AWARE R22 IS OUT OF PRODUCTION NEXT YEAR. STRONGLY CONSIDER NEW 410 REF UNIT BEFOR ESINKING A BIG CHUNK OF MONEY IN R22 EQUIP
