Grohe kitchen faucet burst supply line

In November 2006, we remodeled our kitchen and had a Grohe Ladylux plus kitchen faucet installed(33737000 model). June 18, 2009 the factory supplied stainless steel supply line burst and flooded the first floor of our home. The break was in the center of the length of the supply, shredding the stainless steel wrapping and exposing a 1 inch split in the enclosed rubber hose. Are you aware of this happening with other customers? Any advice is welcomed.

This same thing happened to me with a Moen Faucet. Cost me 1,000 and an insurance claim. This should not happen.

I had the same problem with my Grohe $350 overpriced faucet. The supply hose split open exposing the thin walled clear plastic tube. I can not even get to the hose connection to the faucet without removing the faucet, the other end is a simple quick disconnect however.

I was able to replace the 1 year old "bursted" Grohe LadyLux pull-out hose with a generic kit from Home Depot. I used the "DANCO Replacement Universal Pull-Out kitchen Hose" from Home Depot. It had the correct adapters to make it work on the Grohe faucet. It cost only $21 so why speny $58 (Grohe hose replacemt part) when you already know it will fail in one year!! Here is a picture link to the repair kit I purchased:

I want rotate my Grohe ladylux kitchen faucet. The handle is on the left and I want to rotate to the right side. How do I do it? Thank you John

You will presumably be pushing the faucet handle away from you instead of pulling it forward? If you don't like it, you can always put it back.

Turn off the water.

Release the water in the faucet. If you have a faucet in a room on a floor below, open that to drain the water.

From underneath the unit, back off the nut that is gripping the worktop. Slacken off the hot and cold supply pipes. I am hoping you have braided flexible hoses, or you can't do this job very easily.

Spin the faucet 180'.

Retighten the hold and cold supply pipes.

Retighten the holding nut.

Turn on the water and open the faucet.

Check for leaks.

How do you remove the supply line from the spray head?

The hose should simply unscrew from the back of the head.

How to change spray hose on grohe kitchen sink ladylux model

I have the Ladylux plus. I was confused on how to remove this as well. There is a quick release plastic piece, just pull down on the yellow part on the connector under the sink. Disconnect the plastic connector from the hose and pull it right out of the faucet. Very easy to remove in this case.

Low hot water pressure on Grohe LadyLux.

1. If by replacing the flexible hose you mean the hose for the pull-out portion - you have more than likely kinked or bent the supply line to the hot (left) side of the faucet.
a) If this supply is braided, then simply shutting of the water supply, removing the braided line and either replacing or attempting to straighten it out will be your best bet.
b) If the supply is copper, you will have to cut the line cleanly and carefully. you will then most likely need a 1/4" or 3/8" compression/quickconnect BY 1/2" IP fitting to complete your repair.
2. Other possibilities include:
a) Failure inside the faucet body which will most likely be warrantied by Grohe if you push them hard enough.
b) A problem at your hot water tank, most likely the outlet side and *perhaps* you hadn't noticed the problem elsewhere.
c) The hot valve failing to reopen fully despite all appearances; applies if you turned off the water under the sink for your repair.
