I would start by deleting cached cookies and internet history.

Internet Explorer = Tools/internet options/general tab/"browsing history" Delete

FireFox = Tools/ options/privacy/"Clear all current history"

Sometimes a cookie expires and gets in the way of accepting a new one. Hope this was of help to you.

Still your facebook is active so I think the error that you are saying is may be just validation of the user.. Else check if your internet explorer is updated if not just install thru this link and also update your Flash player with the second link.

Now a days fb's policies very strict . ist of all u read rules for acount of fb. If u done mistakes they blocked your acount .

  2. If you changed your email since you signed up for face-book, you might have to sign up again for a new face-book account. When you sign up for facebook, It is tied in with your email, mainly for the recovery of your password.

There you can get all the help you need. If someone hacked your account, Facebook will help you.They even can send a code to an old e-mail address if you still have access to the address. Given you once used the address where FaceBook could send you messages.
If you can't work it out on this page, you lost your page forever.

I did not get a face book confirmation code ,when i sign up,how can i log into my face book account.i want to know what i have to do,plz help me.thnx
you will be able to get your confirmation code in the e mail address that you give when you sign up for face book. As you can see, upon signing in for a facebook account, you were asked for your e mail address, right? so check your confirmation code on that e mail address so you can log in to facebook.

I want to log on to facebook, but I keep getting my wife's page instead of my own. We share the same computer. I can't find the page where I sign in with my user name and password
For you to sign in first of all you will have to log off or sign out your wife from face-book, once your wife is signed out you can log back in.
If this doesnot works reply back.

My wife started a Facebook account and used our email address as an alternate. I now can't get into my account because it only recognizes her at our email address. She even deactivated it but when I try...
My wife started a Facebook account : does it mean u have created a seperate account in ur name ?

solution : 1 if so , u must have got the activeation mail : please check ur inbox and junk folder . if u dont find the activation/confirmation mail from face book , then looks like ur alternate mail has been used primary contact : 

solution 2 : ask ur wife to login to her accout and then later log off . 

then sign in with ur personal account and see if the creadentials are valid . 

(u can view 2  diff account on the same browser , unless 1 of the account is logged off ).

would b glad know more about it .,

I cant login on my face book account any more.
you would have been given the mail id while signing up the face book,after finishing the sign up go to your mail and check a official invitation of confirmation from FACE BOOK,
follow the steps->click some link to activate the account
work over your account will be activated.
