Set up Free WiFi

If you are talking about WiFi from coffee shops or somewhere like that then you can do this by selecting the site from your WiFi available screen. On the lower left hand of your screen there is an antenna symbol. Click on that and all the "free" networks available will come up. If they are marked secured then you cannot connect to them. If you are looking for free WiFi at home it does not exist.

Wireless association failed due unknown reason

There's always a reason but who cares if there is a good solution. Try rebooting your wifi router and then your PC and see if the connection returns. Also try to delete your WIFI network connection. Then reboot and it should return and so may your connection! If its a secure connection check if your password is correct by opening your WIFI network connection by double clicking it and clicking on wireless properties and then the security tab. Confirm your security key exists and is correct.

I purchased a Netgear Universal Wifi Extender for my ipad, i've set it on on the ipad and it says its connected and evreything and the little correction mark comes up on the ipad showing connected. the...

Extender means it extends the existing Wifi or network. So the iPad now connects fine to the extender, but the extender needs to connect to the existing network either via Wifi or cable. You need to open from the iPad the admin page of the extender and find the connection details there to your existing network.

As far as I have tried, every wifi printer worked for me, you should only configure it properly. Most printers doesn't connect to existing wifi - they create their own unprotected network and you will be able to print only when connected to that network. To avoid changing networks every time you want to print, you should connect your printer using USB cable to a PC and configure it to connect to your existing wifi network, then you will be able to print and surf the web on the same wifi network.

Although my Ipad connects to my wifi network at home I cannot get it to connect to the wifi at work. We have sveral wifi networks but nothing connects

Perhaps your network at home is open (doesn't need a network key) and the one at work has to have a network key (password) and you are not able to supply. Networks are normally protected from outside connections by the administrator that locks it up with a network key. Check with whomever set up your work network. If your home network is open, you may want to discuss with that person how to protect your home network.
