Our HY-108 (not a HY-108TGT) does not have a filter when it was purchased new from a Retailer.

IMHO, Honeywell/KAZ designed these Tower Fans to be disposable if they fail to work or need cleaning.

These Fans are hard to disassemble for service or maintenance, OEM replacement Parts are unavailable to the general public, service documentation is hard to find, and the Tower Fans tend to have a short Product lifespan. THEY BREAK EASILY! The OEM Service Manual points to replacing complete parts assemblies because few electronics diagnostics and no schematics are provided.

The HY-108 case can start to be disassembled (I have done so on ours) by *First* removing the screws and separating/removing the plastic Base from the main Case assembly. *Second* remove the Phillips-Head screws on the back of the Case. *Third*, the internal plastic 6 Tabs that keep the 2 halves held together need to be gently separated - careful, they break easily. You need to gently loosen the internal plastic "Tabs" by using a thin flat-head screwdriver to gently and carefully separate the outer shell cover.

How do you remove the front plastic front piece to clean the "grille" behind the filter?

Has to come off somehow. Maybe there are clips holding it in place. Was put together by man so it can be taken apart.

Removal of front cover, so filter can be cleaned

On my air conditioner the filter slides out from the top of the air intake grill. It looks like part of the grill but look closely you should see the seam across the top of the grill. You don't have to take the front grill off.

How do I take apart the air purifier to clean it? I have a honeywell HTT-022 unit and it needs cleaning

Here is the owner's manual:

http://www.kaz-canada.com/kaz/support/manual/?ProductManualAction=renderProductManualById&ProductManualId=ee97a4e6784448b6f57acddb2f29a817

It says first to unplug the unit.

While pressing on the two notches along the front of the grille, pull the grille toward you and remove it.

Gently pull down on the top filter frame and pull forward.

Remove the protective wrap from the filter.

Place back into the air purifier housing and snap filter grille into place.

(This is verbatim from the instructions)

I want to take my ecoquest fresh air apart to clean it, but do not know how, i have misplaced the manual

Unplug the machine and unscrew the phillips head screw on the back grill of the machine, that is just above the plug. There are depressions on the sides of the back grill that has a plastic tang that hold the back grill to the machine. Press the back grill inwards to allow the tangs to clear the sidee and the back grill should now be easily removed. Remove the two thumb screws on the top corners to remove the filter. Once the filter is removed, then you can remove the purification plate and remove the two screws that hold the RCI cell. The RCI cell and filter can be cleaned by vacumming out the dust and dirt.

The purification plate can be cleaned with a old toothbrush and a water and amonia solution. Scrub the metal grid with the toothbrush. Do both sides and then rinse with water, allow it to dry completely before reinstalling the plate. After every part is cleaned reassemble the purifier, and plug it in. Then press the reset reminder button on the front of the keypad to clear the "perform cleaning" message. This message will appear again after the purifier runs for 30 days to remind you to clean the purifier. Hope this helps you.

How do you clean the filter?

remove the front grill that has the filter fittted on the grill end. remove and use a fine brush and aided with an air jet blow into the filter and remove off all the dust that is on it.
You can also use good detergent to wash off dirt and dry the filter but without any harsh brushing.
Now set this back but make sure to clean the inlet of the cooling
fins.

Couple of things, are your filters clean??? If not clean them It also sounds like a lack of refrigerant, so get the system professionally checked and re-gassed.

Air filter

If the bucket is removed, the filter is accessible from just behind the lower edge of the grill...there should be two tabs that you can use to pull it down from behind the grill...they sometimes have clear blue tape holding the filter in, so remove the tape or pull hard and the filter should drop down for cleaning.
