How to Save my Laptop Battery?

Charge battery fully (with laptop off) then unplug AC power. Do not continuously have power plugged in. This will ruin your battery. Remove battery when not in use for long periods. To refresh battery charge fully then run laptop till it turns off. Turn on again and wait for it to turn off. When laptop wont turn on, charge battery fully again and repeat process about 3 times. This should extend an old battery's run time.

Battery fully charged but not power to run

Measure the battery voltage individually. If each battery has less than 10 volts, charge them with an automotive style NON automatic battery charger.

Can not run netbook off battery even though battery shows fully charged' When charger is removed netboook will not turn on

Make sure the battery is fully inserted and clicks in to the netbook body. Your battery may also be showing that it's charged but is actually dead. Try a new battery and see if it solves your problem.

My wahl chromado clippers will not hold a charge

Click the blade off, inside the front end there should be 2 screws, undo them and force the case halves apart from the front. Battery pack will need to come from Wahl, not normally available as a non genuine part.

When charging my battery it will reach 95% and the battery charging light will turn solid red and battery meter will show plugin not charging.

Likely that the battery is either not fully working due to reaching the end of its useful life, or the charging light is not accurate and you have a fully charged battery.

You can download this free software to give you a more accurate idea:

You might also like to try "educating" your battery. This is done simply by running it flat, recharging fully and running flat again, do this a few times and if the battery s good, you should get it to see 100% charge

Battery fully charged.when starting scooter ,press the start butten and only get a clicking noise from the back end next to the battery.

Given continuous clicking and a fully charged battery, I would say you have a faulty starter -- needs replacing

My van clicks and won't start it's a 97 dodge caravan it has a new battery

It could be a bad Starter Solenoid or Starter, or even a weak Alternator that is not fully charging the Battery when the engine is running. Make sure all connections to the Battery and Starter are tight and there is no corrosion present. Make sure the battery is fully charged and if your car is running your Alternator is at least showing 13 to 14 volts on a Volt Meter, or your Instrument Panel Gauge. Check that your Alternator Belt is tight too.

When I turn the key it only clicks, starter does not engage

It's either a bad battery (low on charge) or a loose ground wire. If you are SURE that the battery has 12 volts (yes, even a low battery will run your lights, radio, door ajar chime, etc., but won't have enough to start the car). If the battery is fully charged and your volt meter shows 14.4 volts (fully charged battery reading), then it's a ground wire. There are two locations. The negative battery cable itself on the battery, and the location on the frame or engine where the cable connects to.If these are ok, check the positive cable connection on the starter.

How do you get this notebook to run on just the battery please?

Hi there,
to use or running Notebook in a battery, simply unplug the battery charger ( power chord) and your battery should be fully charged.

by the way, if ou having the problem of a laptop shutting off when you unplug the charger when your battery is fully charged, there is nothing wrong with the laptop, battery, or computer, it is a power management setting. What you need to do is:

  1. Go to display properties
  2. select the screen saver ta and click the "power" button
  3. In the power schemes tab there iss a drop down window, click it and select "Portable/Laptop" (it is a power switching utility that quickly switches between AC and Battery when the power cable/charger is plugged in or unplugged while the laptop is on)
hope this help a little, ask me if you need more assisst.

When turning the key the SUV just goes click click click. once hooked to jumper cables then it starts.

check voltage to battery, and the charging rate, could be that the alternator is bad. a fully charged battery should read 12.5 volts or higher with engine off, at least 14.0 volts when running. also check all wires to battery etc.
