1 Check the Copyboard Cover, Copyboard Glass, and Standard White Plate

  • If any of these parts is soiled, clean it with a moist cloth. If scratches are found, replace it.

2. Checking the Charging Assemblies

  • a. Check each charging assembly for dirt and a fault in its charging wire/charging brush (scratches, deformation).
  • b. Clean the charging wire, grid wire, and shielding plate of each charging assembly. (Dry wipe the part with lint-free paper; then, clean it with alcohol. If dirt cannot be removed, replace it.)
  • c. Check the height of each charging wire.
  • d. Check to see each charging assembly is properly set.
  • e. Check the charging spring (especially of the separation charging assembly) for rusting.

3. Checking the Developing Assembly
  • a. Check to make sure that the rolls on both ends of the developing assembly are in contact with the photosensitive drum.
  • b. Check to make sure that the surface of the developing cylinder is coated with a uniform layer of toner.

There seems to be dust behind the screen panel i live on a gravel road is there a way to clean the screen or what do i do

What you have to do is remove the front screen assembly by removing the screws loacted at the bottom of the screen frame just under the frame lip. Lift the screen assembly up from the bottom to disengage the holder clips at the top and set the screen assembly to the side. On the inside of the screen, the part that faces the projection mirror assembly you can use some Windex and paper towels to clean the surface. On the outside do not use Windex as this will breakdown the protective finish used on the viewing side of the screen. To clean the viewing side, use a special cleaner also used to clean computer display screens. Re-install the screen assembly and you are done.

When loading a disc it will show loading and then it will show no disc and I have run a cleaning disc but did not help

HI.This will occur when the optical assembly becomes unstable. this ((Whole One Piece)), assembly incorporates the spin/load motor, optics housing /arm, tracking device and tracking rail. This is connected to the loading dock assembly. This 'NO Disc' or CD NOT PLAYABLE, code is the result of a failed or burned out lens. It is possible that you have a dirty lens cap. you can try using a cleaning disk in this case to confirm actual lens failure. if the cleaning doesn't restore normal reading capabilities, this will confirm my diagnosis.

You will need to have the optical assembly replaced in this case. once replaced, your unit will be able to read and track once more.

What about Fehlercode: 6A00

6A00 is the error code when the purge assembly is jammed. That's the cleaning assembly on the right where the printhead parks. Check for any paper scraps in that area, and see if the wiper section is stuck above the cleaning pads. Sometimes you can just clean with a wet Q-tip around the sliding parts, otherwise you need to replace the purge assembly.

Print smears

Hi Allan:
Sounds like you need to replace the drum pivot plate assembly. This assembly is what cleans the drum assembly prior to putting the image on the drum. The pivot plate assembly has a rubber drum cleaning blade on it and when the printer begins to print a page it cleans the drum first. If the cleaning blade or the pivot plate are deffective then the drum will not be cleaned properly leaving smudgy areas on the drum.
