It either has an Nvidea or a SIS video card you need find out which generic driver loaded so you know which manufacture website to go to to get the Win7 driver. You can as well type dxdiag in the windows file search window and it will display that information if you dont know how to get to your device manager.

I doubt, due to no support from Microsoft, anyone still supports XP. The nearest drivers I can find are Vista32 bit drivers.
Have fun and good luck.
How about Win2000 drivers, they are very similar?

Update windows xp to Windows 10 explain steps.....XP TO WHERE TO END AT WINDOWS 10 INSTALLATION

You almost certainly can't. Windows XP is no longer supported and hasn't been for years. There is a compatibility checker on the Microsoft site that will see if your hardware and the software you have on the computer will run Windows 10. I had XP and had a high end PC built and purchased Windows 7 Pro. I then took the free upgrade to Windows 10.

How do i download the next upgrade after windows XP professional for free?

Why up grade if XP Pro is working fine???????? The only time to up grade is when your existing OS is not compatible with some program you wish to run. Other than that you should stay with XP.

If you have to "upgrade" your best bet is Win 7 but that is a clean install, not an upgrade. Stay away from Vista, Win 8.1, 10 lest you have horrific issues with convenience, compatibility and/or drivers.

P4i45gv motherboard can support windows 7

This is an old ASROCK mainboard for Intel P4 processors. There will be no provided drivers from the motherboard manufacturer for Win 7. Most of the on board peripherals will have Microsoft generic drivers available for them so they should work (Audio/Ethernet). Video may be more of a problem. At a minimum, the Microsoft generic VGA driver will support video, but you may not get full benefits of the chipset unless there is another driver available. Microsoft did not push vendors as hard to provide drivers for the WIN 7 platform as it did when it introduced WIN XP. If it had, it would probably had a much better and faster acceptance by users. Now we are seeing many older boards not being able to upgrade fully and being hung out to dry by Microsoft's ending of WIN XP support.

This board is so old that there hasn't been any new drivers produced since win XP. There may be a generic VISTA driver somewhere that may work, but you're better off considering an upgrade.

Converting from xp to windows 7

You can, but thorough backup of all your XP stuff is needed first, as you will lose much of it. Here is the detailed MS guide

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows7/help/upgrading-from-windows-xp-to-windows-7#T1=tab01

Unless you have a genuine copy of W7 already, I'd recommend going to W8.1 , as it has now stabilised and will be supported for much longer than W7. However your hardware would need to be good enough. From XP there is no automated way to check this, instead

P5PE-VM with Win7 has no display on PCI video cards-EVGA 2600 or EVGA gt 220. Both cards ran fine with Win XP. What do I need to do?

Hello here is the mainboards homepage:

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_775/P5PEVM/#download

Are you running 32 or 64 bit system ???

Make sure the video driver supports windows 7, 32 or 64 bit.

The video card can sure run fine on windows xp but not in windows 7 as it is a totaly different system.

The mainboard has a 1 x AGP 8X slot.

So now you maybe has to find a video card that supports windows 7

Try also to download a manual.

Good luck

I am using toshiba l310 laptop with windows xp installed onit.NOW I WANT TO CHANGE MY OPERATING SYSTEM FROM XP TO WINDOWS 7,MY QUESTION IS THAT CAN I USE SAME DRIVERS FOR WINDOWS 7 WHICH I USE ON XP ...

You will need new drivers for Win 7. Before attempting to go to Win 7, run the Microsoft Upgrade Advisor and see what issues it lists: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=161223 (since laptops have on-board video that may be an issue). You will be doing a custom install from XP and have to reinstall all of your programs and drivers - many will be available. Several XP programs will not install in Win7 without some work (compatability mode or the XP mode virtual machine (in Pro or Ultimate). Upgrading your software may be needed unless you have the latest version that supports XP through Win7 or want to do the work-arounds.

In addition you would be wise to check for any BIOS updates for your specific machine and apply those. Windows 7 is a good OS if you have 2 GB or more of memory. It can run with less but it isn't better than XP in that case. The biggest difference is that Win7 will be supported by Microsoft for updates for a longer period (patches); XP will lose that support in the next few years.

I hope this helps.

(I converted an XP desktop to Win7. However, my video card could handle the OS and I have 2.5 GB of memory and a Windows Experience Index of 3.9 from the system.)
