I received an IBM laptop with same issue a few months back. The error message due to the drained out CMOS RTC (coin-cell battery), which retains and other BIOS settings. The system is OK and all you have to do is to get the CMOS/RTC battery replaced by the a professional. Good Luck! CreativeTECH
The POST error code 1805 for the ThinkPad is as follows :-
1805
Unauthorized Wireless USB card is plugged in—Power off and remove the Wireless USB card.
Change the bios battery.Remove the notebook battery and then you should see the bios battery.Maybe you should have to disassembly the complete pc because it is a little dificult without disassembly.
The CRC error (POST = power on startup test) on boot up refers to the BIOS settings. This could be cause by a near flat BIOS battery and it needs to be replaces. If it is not the battery you need go to the BIOS to correct any faulty settings.
Are you a computer whizz? (do you know a lot about computers like me?)
Could be the Cpu fan (Central Processing Unit)
That could be lethal to the laptop.
Just as well it's a IBM other wise . . .
As for the error it means the time and date are not set.
soloution: run the bios setup utillity to reset time and date.
