Look into this. Port your number. Carriers will often pay your early termination fee from your existing carrier when you switch or port your number to them. Although you get out of one fire which frees you up to get a new phone on a new carrier, you will more than likely jump into another fire and have the same issue with the new carrier should you loose your phone again.

Did you have insurance on the Phone or the House? One of them should be covering the replacement cost of the phone. You shouldn't need to terminate your contract because of a house fire. You just need a new phone right?

How can i unlock a cdma sprint phone to use Virgin Mobile service?

when a phone is locked into a service provider but you want to change to another service provider , the lock is a contract that you sue only that provider
to get it unlocked , normally requires a payout fee of the contract to the original provider
contact them direct and discuss what can be done

How to remove a contact?

I know that in Florida you have to do it within 3 business days, otherwise you might have to pay a early term fee. Some fees are up to 300.

I already have a phone number. I also have an active account that should be about ready to expire. I simply want to renew it so that I can keep my phone active to make and receive calls Help!

Hi Ronald,

All cell carriers that I've ever heard of are happy to keep you under contract - you just have to contact them to let them know at the end of the contract - if yours is not the type that automatically converts you to a "month to month" customer (no contract). This is not necessarily a bad thing! In most cases, you can keep using the device & service under the terms of your old contract. Things (cost, amount of talk / text / data) generally change only when you sign up as per the terms of a *new* agreement. This also when you are offered a subsidized price for a new device. If you're happy with your current device and would rather not have to go out of pocket at all to buy another - or if the amount of talk / text / data is is better under your existing plan - why sign up again? Continue as a month to month customer and you're free to sign a contract with them (or anyone else for that matter) at a time that YOU want whether due to lost or stolen device, better terms in a new contract being offered, etc..

Many carriers answer calls made from the cell phone that are placed to *611 (Star 6 1 1) and they should be able to help you navigate your current contract and new one - if needed. Otherwise, check your carrier's invoice, refill minutes card or website for contact telephone numbers or locations to learn about your contract.

Good luck!

Want to end my mobile contract and i am willing to pay til end of next month but they insist i have to pay out remainder of contract.are they lawfully able to do this?

Hi there,

If you have signed a contract that was made between you and your service provider then you have binded an agreement that you will pay them for the services they provide. The contract should have terms and conditions that you have agreed to, if a set payment per month was required under the contract that means you have to carry it out. Therefore yes, your service provider is lawfully allowed to demand that you pay the remainder of your contract.

Ring your service provider and ask if you can pay an exit fee which is usually just a price set by your service provider multiplied by the remaining months on your contract. You still have to pay money, but its usually cheaper than what you would've been paying if you still carried on with your contract.

I suggest to you before you sign a contract to read through it carefully and consider if you can oblige with the terms and conditions. Many people forget to do this and end up with hefty fees and bad credit ratings.

Hope I have been of assistance to you,

Cheers :)

Palm centro will not power up

One word: RIDICULOUS. My Centro randomly Hot Synced one night, and never worked again. I went to a Sprint tech 5 times, literally. I had the insurance coverage and they order me a new phone. When I picked up my new phone, the tech turned it on in front of me. I go home, charge it up and NOTHING. Went back down to Sprint tech. Sprint does not cover the battery of the phone, and they gave me my OLD battery with my new phone. The phone worked with the tech's battery though (?). They gave me a new battery, go home charge and...nothing happens again. Went back, they checked my charger, and everything looked fine, except they had no clue what was happening. I still have the phone that I can't sell because it has all my info in it.

In the end, I went to Verizon, and ate the $200 termination fee. I called Sprint and said fix my phone or eat the termination fee, and they gladly waived the term fee!! TRUE STORY. The grass is greener at Verizon. They help you save money on your plans, seriously! You may think this sounds like a Verizon commercial, but after 6 years with Sprint, I wish I made the move earlier, much earlier. Search the internet for loopholes on how to cancel your contract without paying! Good luck!!
