Have you recently installed any software, or made any changes to the screen resolution or other configuration changes? If so, then undo them and see if the problem goes away. The most likely hardware failure would be the video card, if your computer has one that's not built in to the motherboard. It might be worth the trouble to re-seat the video in it's slot on the motherboard, and to check all of the cable connections between the computer and the monitor to make sure they're all snug. If these things don't work or don't apply, then the problem is likely not something that you're going to be able to fix yourself, so a trip to the store where you bought it might be in order. Good luck!

SOURCE: stop mouse blinking when start open windows and over screen color resolution and size

make sure the mouse Ps 2 or the usb plug has a good seating if applicable or if its batteries that are good

I have found that the best way to adjust your mouse settings is to create a control panel in your bottom toolbar scroll to the bottom of your screen right click you will see an array of options select the toolbar option then select desktop

then you will see the desktop in the bottom toolbar select the 2 >>arrow heads then all control panel items then select mouse this is in WINDOWS 7

in XP you will have to select the new toolbar option once you have that a browse option select my computer then control panel then a control panel option will be in the bottom toolbar

click start right click on my computer select properties device manager control scroll to mice and pointing devices you might see a yellow question mark? right update driver

click on >> control panel all control panel items mouse you should see 4 tabs buttons pointers pointer options and hardware under hardware you have options to troubleshoot also you can select properties under driver you will have the options update driver rollback driver or uninstall in xp

in windows 7 click start control panel hardware and sound mouse you will see the same tabs and options as with xp

Click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll to display adapters + to expand you might see a yellow question mark ? or exclamation mark ! or a red x right click select reinstall drivers
You might need to upgrade your graphics card drivers

you might have to remove your graphics card to make sure the socket is clean
restart your computer the reinstall it this should activate found new hardware wizard
if your computer came with a mother board disk the drivers could be on it

click start control panel display desktop you can select a different desktop from the drop down list
or a browse button where you can select different pictures this may vary depending on your operating system

also you can change the settings for more or less pixels or from the drop down list pick the appropriate level of color range or troubleshoot also select advanced then general dpi normal size, larger size or custom settings
always click APPLY after making any changes

hope this helps

Hitachi TV LED screen went black

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

Sony tv blinks more then 8 times ? how can i fix it

  1. Eight blinks - Problem with the audio (AUDIO), unit goes to standby and blinks the self-diagnosis code. Check IC406 audio amp, PS401, and 402. On some projection models of Sony TV sets, this code means that T8005 (flyback transformer), or the associative components in the high voltage circuits are defective on the D board.

Visit the site named 'Electro-help' for more details. Check this link and select the site named above. View it in 'Flip card' option, which can be selected from the drop down box menu at the left top corner or the display window. It will make search easy. Some times, the ads attached with each posts might help you to find the availability of spare parts. There are more than 640 posts to different brand TVs.

Computer displays black screen with blinking cursor

Its seems its not booting correctly. Just Insert Windows CD and fix the windows. Another solution is to press (I think) F1 or F11 or F12 (depending on the model) when booting the machine. It will take you to recovery mode. Use it to restore the boot section ONLY.
