Ok here is a secret most of the time when you open your machine, you will find the service manual in it. It will take you through "the on board diagnostics". After doing this you will test if that sensor that monitors your lint filter is the problem. order the new part through Amazon.com. If you can't find it in your machine then look through the internet for it, you'll find it. i found it with Amazon but they wanted $25.00, i know if I had time, I'ld find it free.

SOURCE: CHECK FILTER

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. To start with the first thing you should do is to remove the lint filter and clean the lint out of inside where the lint screen goes. After this unplug the unit for 5-10 minutes and then push & hold the start/pause button for 10-15 seconds and reconnect the unit. If still it won’t work then it’s the sensor that has gone bad and needs to be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Clean any lint that got by the filter as best you can. If you can, get into the housing that surrounds the filter and clean it, but be careful not to damage the moisture sensor.
Check that the duct (behind the dryer) is clear of excess lint and has no obstructions (kink, bird's nest, etc.).

Good luck

How do I do a hard reset of frigidaire dryer GLEQ2152ES1

Unplug it overnight. That will definitely reset it. Did you remove the cover where e the lint filter goes in. It is usually held in by two screws from the inside. There should be two wires leading to two metal strip on that cover. Make sure they are clean. You can also reach down into the lint trap to remove any more lint.

Ultrasense dryer sending lint filter red light, E01 message and it is beeping after starting to dry.

Try unplugging for a _full_ 24 hours. If problem still exists, bad computer board.

the clean filter just blinks at start of a cycle to remind you to clean it. there is no lint filter sensor or anything like that. it goes out after you program your cycle and hit start. if dryer is not coming on, there is another issue. any fault/error codes?

I have a Beko condenser dryer 6kg. Every time I press start the clean filter comes on and it will not start. start button flashing I have held it in and clean filter comes on. What is wrong?

This happened to me once ... but with a different dryer. I had a blockage in my exhaust vent -- from the lint that made it through the lint screen over the course of several years. I cleaned out the exhaust vent tube, and made sure that there were no blockages to the air and it worked just fine after that.
If that's not your problem, you might have a bad air flow sensor or a problem with your dryer's air intake fan -- if either of these are not working properly, they could convince the dryer that the lint filter is clogged (because not enough air is making it through) ... but I'm sorry to say I am not able to help you with that any more than describing possible problems (I do most of my own repairs through trial and error ... but I would have to have the machine in front of me to work on it).
If removing all blockages from the exhaust vent system does not clear up the problem, you might want to hire a professional to come look at it -- they will be able to tell you what is wrong with is pretty quickly.

Dryer "clean lint filter" message

Hello. Begin by unplugging the plug on the dryer. Then pull out the filter and thoroughly examine the space that the filter slides into looking for any lint. Remove any lint that you find. Put the filter back and lastly plug the dryer back in.

These steps should solve the problem. If not, then the lint sensor has gone bad and should be replaced. If you wish to do that yourself you can go to searspartsdirect.com. Enter the model number of the dryer and then you will see the parts diagrams allowing you to locate that lint sensor, and even order a new one. Joe

Thanks for choosing Fixya!

I own a whirlpool gold dryer about 4 years old. I empty the lint catcher frequently. I noticed however, that sand has accumulated inside the dryer, I hear the sound when the dryer starts tumbling. How...

not as hard as it will sound here we go
remove the lint filter
remove the 2 phillips screws at the filter housing top you will see these screws after you have pulled out the lint filter
unplug the dryer
remove the back panel
on the left side is the lint filter housing it is held in place with 4 1/4 inch screws remove them
lift up on the filter housing and pull forward you will find the sand inside the filter housing use a vac to **** it out and reassemble the dryer, no more sand

The check filter light is just a reminder light and cannot be reset.  Nothing to worry about.  Just keep the filter clean before each use.

Bosch Dryer lint filer warning

The Bosch Dryer has a temperature probe in the heater exit and in the exhaust area visible when you open the door. If the temperature difference between the two gets to high, the lint filter is assumed to be plugged and the alarm goes off.

It seems that the temperature probe at the heater, can end up with a faulty connection to the control panel over time due to corroded contacts or lint build up. When this happens the control panel thinks the filter is clogged and it may also not turn on the heating elements properly. Remove the back cover over the heating element (12 screws) and then remove the one screw holding the red wiring connection to the dryer body. You can then wiggle out the wiring connection and clean / unplug and replug in the connector for the sensor. (plug with two small wires only). A little hard feeding the connector back through the hole so take your time and don't damage the wires). Should all work again. May want to inspect inside the heater at same time and make sure the overheating switch is not tripped. ( press in the red button).
